I am a singer-songwriter with over a decade of experience, performing everything from ’50s classics to modern hits across multiple genres on acoustic guitar. Along with solo shows, I also perform with my band The Retrospects, a high-energy rock group covering artists like The Beatles, Green Day, Coldplay and more.
Beyond covers, I write and produce original music, bringing creativity and authenticity to every performance. Whether solo or with my band, my focus is on delivering engaging, memorable shows that leave audiences having a great time.

When you book me, you can expect a professional, reliable, and engaging music experience from start to finish. I arrive on time (often ahead of schedule) to set up my own sound and lighting equipment, run a quick sound check, and coordinate directly with event organizers to ensure everything is set to their expectations.
During the performance, I deliver a polished set predominantly consisting crowd-favorite cover songs, while also being open to requests and light interaction with the crowd to keep the energy flowing. My focus is always on providing high-quality sound, smooth transitions, and a performance that elevates the atmosphere of the event.
After the show, I check in with organizers, handle all breakdown and packing efficiently, and leave the space as it was. My goal is to make the entire process seamless, stress-free, and memorable for both the client and their guests.
My name is Jacob Moreno, born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. I’ve been performing for over three years, playing hundreds of shows across the Valley and throughout Texas. As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, I produce my own music, run my own sound, and continue to grow as both an artist and sound engineer. Alongside performing, I’ve also organized events, giving me experience in building communities through music.
Coming from a family of eight, I’ve learned the value of connection, teamwork, and persistence—qualities I carry into my music and career. Outside of performing, I enjoy staying active through sports like volleyball, tennis, and skateboarding, and spending time with friends, whether it’s sharing music or just enjoying life.
I strive for excellence, integrity, and authenticity in everything I do, and I’m committed to turning my vision into reality as a successful artist who inspires and uplifts others.
In addition to live music, I provide a full sound setup suitable for small backyard gatherings up to mid-sized venues. My system delivers clear, balanced sound with strong bass response, even without subwoofers. I supply and operate all equipment, including microphones, mixers, speakers, and basic lighting to create the right atmosphere.
While I am not a DJ, I can manage playlists or background music between sets, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the event. Clients can rely on me not only as a performer, but also as a dependable sound equipment provider and operator.
