Jailan performed well at the event. It appeared that he did not arrive on time, but apparently he was set up in the wrong location near the event so he was not performing at 5:30pm as scheduled. He did stay the additional 1/2 hour to make up for the loss in time that I had paid for him to perform.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Jailan Jagne, is an accomplished saxophonist with a penchant for delivering infectious music as well as connecting with his listeners. Inspired by how music can heal and bring joy to others, Jailan Jagne’s music journey began at at the tender age of 14 in church where he listened attentively to his church's Sax player. When he discovered the magic of music, everything changed as it sparked a burning passion for him to pursue a career as a performer. Being an avid storyteller, Jailan Jagne is greatly influenced by real life, he draws inspiration to create music from personal experiences and hardships, allowing him to connect strongly with his audience. Apart from invoking emotions, Jailan Jagne also seems to have a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in multiple styles including a smooth blend of R&B, Soul and Jazz, all while maintaining a consistent brand, one of the factors that make this musician one to keep an eye out for.
Although Jailan Jagne started by playing within the Gospel music idiom, the multi-talented individual went on to study Jazz at Georgia State University, there after learning to ingeniously fuse soul and jazz. Having shared the stage with internationally acclaimed acts like Parliament-Funkadelic, Fred Hammond and Lalah Hathaway, Jailan Jagne has performed at a multitude of different venues, quickly rising to become one of Atlanta’s top saxophonists. With no plans to stop or slow down anytime soon, the musician hopes to engage current audiences and reach out to new ones with his exciting yet profound musical endeavors.
