Aparte de ser un excpcional Hombre de Familia, y Veterano de Guerra, JAI, trae ese sentir de transparencia a escena. Su música es espectacular, pero su Don de gente lo hace más grande de lo que es.

Jaime Ramos (Jai RAMOS) is a native of Santurce, Puerto Rico and was born to his father Inocencio Ramos (RIP) and his mother Eliu Gonzalez. He grew up living between San Juan and Carolina. At an early age he was influenced by romantic music listening to talented artists such as Danny Rivera, Lucecita Benitez, Lissette, Chucho Avellanet, Los Hispanos, Marco Antonio Muñiz and Nino Bravo among others. As a child he began to imitate Danny and Chucho among other singers of the popular genre.
His interest in the salsa genre began with the music of La Fania All-Stars, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Bobby Valentín, Apollo Sound of Roberto Roena and Willie Colon with Hector Lavoe in addition to listening to the compositions of Don Tite Curet Alonzo. Musical pieces arranged by masters such as Luis “Perico” Ortiz, Louie Cruz, Javier Vázquez, Richie Ray, Louie Ramírez and Bobby Valentín became his favorites.
His interest in playing the Bass began when he appreciated the unique style of Bobby Valentín, Eddie “Guagua” Rivera and Salvador Cuevas. He began his vocal skills imitating soneros such as Marvin Santiago, Cheo Feliciano and Héctor Lavoe without knowing that it would become his main passion as a musician. He entered the United States Armed Forces at an early age completing a military career. During his service, he embarked on a career that has lasted decades as a professional musician, band leader, vocalist and singer.
He formed his own group called Orquesta La Atracción in Fort Benning, GA, due to the shortage of musicians in the area, being the lead singer and bassist of the orchestra. His development allowed him to be a member of bands in which he had the opportunity to alternate and/or provide accompaniment to artists such as;
