Jacob Kitchen

Hello!

My name is Jacob Kitchen and I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. I started playing tenor saxophone in 6th grade, and I immediately knew I wanted to pursue music further. I played in the jazz band and orchestra in middle and high school, and was a leader in my high school jazz band. I also played in different bands around town and performed with the Nashville Jazz Workshop a few times. After high school I decided to pursue a music degree at Berklee College of Music, and I was accepted with a full-tuition scholarship. While there, I deepened my love for music and got into composing/scoring, producing, and engineering. I also played and lead different ensembles and bands in a variety of styles from Chinese Pop to Latin Funk. In 2024, I graduated cum laude with a BA in Contemporary Writing and Production // Independent Recording and Production.

During my time in college and since then, I've done music for six short films, with four of them winning multiple awards at film festivals. I've also produced an album, engineered, played sax, and even sang for multiple songs, all of which are currently on streaming services (links on my website). In late 2024, I moved to Texas and am continuing to pursue a career in saxophonist, composer, producer, and engineer.
