Jackie K

Expect a variety of music - originals and cover songs. Most music will fall inside the genres folk, alt country, and Americana. I often performs with my husband Tom (based on his availability). I play keys or acoustic guitar and sing and Tom is on electric bass and vocals. We are an experienced group, that have many years of experience playing a wide variety of music including a New Orleans show (full band), a Christmas duo, and have played many Irish music gigs!
We like to have fun playing music, and want our listeners to have as much fun as we do!
Jackie also plays solo gigs on either piano or acoustic guitar with vocals.

Jackie K is a Saskatchewan-based folk and roots singer-songwriter whose music blends prairie storytelling, nostalgia, and thoughtful songwriting with touches of country and vintage pop. With a background in both music and visual art, Jackie brings a strong sense of melody, vivid imagery, and a warm, conversational presence to her live performances.
Her songs explore memory, place, resilience, and the everyday stories that shape us. Her 2025 singles “In the 1970s” and “Picking Saskatoons” reflect her distinctly Saskatchewan perspective, pairing nostalgic storytelling with rich arrangements and a playful sense of place. Following her 2023 album She’s A Story, Jackie continues to write and release music grounded in the Canadian prairie experience.
Jackie has received nominations from the Saskatchewan Music Awards, Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, and Prairie Country Music Awards. Her recent performance credits include Canadian Western Agribition, Doylefest, Broadway Block Parties, Dalmeny Days, Prairie Country Music Association showcases, and Folk Alliance Midwest Performance Lane, along with performances at venues and community events throughout Saskatchewan.
Jackie’s live sets are intimate, engaging, and emotionally resonant, with a warm conversational style and dry sense of humour between songs. With a new single scheduled for release later this fall, she is looking forward to bringing her prairie-rooted songwriting to more stages across Saskatchewan and beyond.
