About
With nearly five decades of experience as a vocalist and musician, my journey began at age nine in school choir, the brass section in school band at age twelve, and evolved into performances in rock/soul/jazz bands during my middle and high school years. I have performed as both lead/backup vocalist and electric bassist - relishing the opportunities to entertain diverse audiences - even forming bands with fellow officers during my career. I take immense pride in performing classic standards by renowned artists like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett, sharing these timeless standards with those who appreciate them – while also introducing them to newer audiences. Music is not just a passion for me; it is an essential part of my identity. My strength of musical performance is in the diversity of my standards. Yes, I am able to provide shows specifically focusing on one artist (i.e. an all-Sinatra show), but I also possess the flexibility of mixing several different classic jazz artists in my repertoire - something very few performers usually offer.
Additional booking notes
Though I am equipped for all my shows with some basic lighting, sound, mixing, etc. some larger venues, facilities, or events 'may' be required to provide or make available their on-site lighting or sound equipment - if the need should arise (generally these details are coordinated well in advance by both parties).
Services offered
Set list
*The following is a small example of one of my set lists from a recent two-hour show where this particular client 'chose' several of their desired standards and variety of artists (with a slight emphasis on Sinatra's standards). This opportunity is made available to any client or venue (if they desired) - to 'customize' a song set list or add a few choice songs and/or specific artists for their event from a list of available but extensive original music standards. I can also pre-record any standards not in my library (that I'm able to vocally perform) a client wishes to include - if given enough advanced notice beforehand. Generally speaking, though, I receive just as many requests from clients who prefer I design their show set lists myself - (which is the majority) however, this musical flexibility is a service you'll not find in very many performers of my genre.

Influences and inspiration
I have had many jazz artists I've admired during my life - from the humble beginnings of Bing Crosby, Billy Holiday, and Ela Fitzgerald - to the Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack's heydays of the early 1960's. As a young lad, I laid on the floor in the living room listening to these jazz greats with my parents on our old turntable-television console in the 1960's. It was also quite common to hear a plethora of other jazz greats of the time, like Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme', Bobby Darin, and so many others - playing continually during the day and evening while together at home.
