I am a musician who knows the challenges associated with handling your own sound. There is more than enough stress with making sure your performance is flawless so why worry about the sound. I am available to help local bands achieve quality stress-free sound engineering support for their shows. I am prepared to support with my own PA system, cables, mixer, etc. You need only to come with your talent and instruments/amplifiers.

Professional attitude and collaborative with the artists to reach their needs. I arrive early and stay late to ensure the performance is a success.
I am a local guitarist working in an active band. I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years and have a tendency to chase tone. Since taking on the role to manage sound for my own band, I've come to appreciate the need musical groups have for a quality sound engineer. Obviously, sound is a critical element towards delivering a good show to an audience and often times, makes or breaks the performance overall. I've spent time acquiring quality hardware using a QSC PA system outfitted with a Soundcraft UI16 digital mixer for the customary 4–5-piece rock band and for smaller events, I have a Mackie ProFX12 mixing board available. The system I provide incorporates the following speakers:
1 ea QSC KS212C 3600 watt powered subwoofer (for larger events)
2 ea QSC K12.2 2000 watt powered mains
2 ea QSC CP12 1000 watt powered monitors
2 ea QSC CP8 1000 watt powered monitors
The inventory I have would be more than adequate to fill the typical bar/club for any working band in the area. For larger events and outdoor venues, the subwoofer is a must. With its cardioid design, low range frequencies are pushed forward and remain in front of the musicians to maintain volumes and clarity on stage.
Prior to the actual event, I would prefer to have a meeting with the band to understand the venue size and characteristics to properly plan sound reinforcement with regards to speaker placement and volume levels. In addition, a setlist would be helpful to put forth a live mix plan for the event.
I have a systems engineering background with skills needed to analyze and troubleshoot issues that can arise. I can also provide advice on gear and tone qualities associated with instrumentation pairing.
