Quieter than Scottish pipes, the Irish uilleann pipes are perfect for indoor performances and ensemble playing. I do not play Scottish bagpipes. Irish uilleann pipes are played seated, so I cannot march or lead processions while performing.

I am thrilled with David's performance as was everyone at the event. It was a tea ceremony and David played while the groom's side of the family walked with gifts to the bride's house. Everyone loved the music! David was very professional throughout this process. Very timely in his communications and very patient as the ceremony was delayed a little bit. I highly recommend him and would hire him again.

We reached out to David to play for my father-in-law’s retirement party. He was quick to respond and was very communicative throughout the process. He played beautifully during the tribute presentation, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! My father-in-law loved how he played the pipes so much that he still talks about it to this day. About
David Perkins (aka Piper Dave) is an Irish bagpiper in Seattle. He began playing Scottish bagpipes in 2008 while in college. He spent several years in both band and solo competitions on the east coast before settling in Seattle. It was there, in 2018, where he began playing uilleann (Irish) pipes. Since then David has established himself as one of the premiere pipers in the Irish music scene. In 2024 he became the Chairman of the Irish Pipers Club, a revered cultural establishment promoting the education and culture of uilleann bagpipes. With more than fifteen years of experience in piping, David will bring a professional, empathetic, and unique flare to your occasion.
