Iris

I have known Iris for several years now through St. John's Presbyterian Church in Devon as our organist and choir director. Having been so fortunate to witness her talents first hand in church and through her concert series, I knew that she would be able to create the music experience I wanted to honor my father when he passed away in April.
Iris, as part of her Musicalia trio with a violinist and cellist, performed the music at my father’s memorial. She guided me though the choice of music for the whole service, offering suggestions and advice, consulting me on everything, even things I had not even thought of. We had instrumental hymns, Barber's Adagio for Strings, a Gerschwin medley and finished with Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Her music, and management of the program made it truly a celebration honoring my father.
Iris' talent on the piano is truly amazing to watch, but her depth and breadth of musical genres is equally impressive. She is entirely too humble about her own abilities. She is also able to take music and adapt it to better fit the event or the timing of the program.
It has been 6 weeks since my dad's memorial and I still have people commenting on how lovely all the music was - how often does that happen about a funeral?
I cannot recommend Iris highly enough!
