With over 15 years of professional career, Irene Jalenti has traveled with her sultry voice throughout Italy and France, for eventually landing in the United States where, thanks to a full scholarship based on merits, she graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Music.
Irene is one of the most requested vocalists in the DMV area. Her unique and rich deep tone together with her scat singing skills have brought people to compare her to masters like Carmen McRae, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Betty Carter.
Irene is currently getting her Master Degree in Jazz Studies at Howard University where she also teaches and is a member of the multi-award winning a cappella jazz ensemble Afro Blue.
