Interactive Speaker & Experience Designer

Expect more than someone standing at the front of the room talking.

Every experience I design is interactive, participatory, and shaped around the people in the room. Whether I’m working with students, young adults, faith communities, leadership teams, or a room of hundreds, I want people thinking, talking, reflecting, moving, connecting, and participating.

Depending on the audience and goals, an experience might include:

• Whole-room participation and interactive activities
• Partner or small-group conversations
• Guided reflection and meaningful questions
• Practical tools people can use immediately
• Stories that connect the topic to real life
• Team challenges and facilitated exercises
• Moments of laughter, connection, and honest conversation
• Clear takeaways that turn reflection into action

Topics and activities are customized for each audience, but the philosophy stays the same: people learn more deeply when they experience something, not just hear about it.

For young people, that might mean exploring leadership, confidence, purpose, communication, faith, or connection through activities and conversation.

For organizations and teams, it might mean working through communication, trust, change, burnout, team dynamics, or shared purpose.

Whatever the setting, my goal is for people to leave saying:

“I didn’t just listen to something. I was part of something.”

I’m Ton Nguyen — a speaker, facilitator, and experience designer who believes people learn, connect, and grow best when they’re part of the experience, not simply listening to someone talk.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with young people, leaders, teams, nonprofits, government agencies, schools, faith communities, and mission-driven organizations. While the audiences may look different, the goal is often the same: help people communicate more honestly, connect more deeply, discover what matters, and turn reflection into action.

My sessions are highly interactive, hands-on, and designed around participation. That might mean a room of students talking with one another about leadership and purpose, a team working through communication and trust challenges, a faith community exploring how belief connects to everyday life, or hundreds of participants taking part in a shared activity together.

I speak and facilitate on topics including leadership, communication, connection, purpose, resilience, team dynamics, burnout, change, faith, and personal growth. Every experience is adapted to the people in the room and what the organization hopes they will walk away thinking, feeling, or doing differently.

My background includes more than 20 years working with youth and young adults, over a decade leading mission experiences in Haiti, and years of designing and facilitating leadership and team-development experiences for organizations and large groups.

But regardless of the audience, my approach stays the same:

Interactive. Meaningful. Reflective. Never a lecture.

I don’t want people simply remembering something I said.

I want them remembering what they experienced — and what it helped them discover about themselves, one another, and what they want to do next.

’m flexible and can adapt to almost any event setup — from a classroom or retreat space to a conference ballroom, auditorium, or virtual session. I don’t require elaborate staging or complicated production. I’m comfortable working with what you have.

For the best experience, the following are helpful:

Microphone — A wireless handheld or headset/lavalier microphone is preferred for larger audiences, especially because I often move throughout the room.
Sound system — For larger spaces, a reliable sound system helps everyone stay connected to the experience.
Open space — When possible, some room to move, interact, or participate in activities is helpful.
Projector or screen — Helpful when visuals are being used, but many experiences can be facilitated without one.
Standard lighting — No specialized lighting or effects are necessary.
A willingness to participate — This is the most important part. My sessions are designed for people to talk, reflect, interact, laugh, think, and experience something together.

Every event is different, so I’ll work with you ahead of time to understand the room, audience, schedule, and available equipment and adapt the experience accordingly.

The goal isn’t technical perfection. It’s creating the right environment for people to participate, connect, and walk away with something meaningful.
