Hello my name Minister Influence. I'm a independent poet based out of Sacramento Ca. Who travels locally through the bay area and Midwest circuit. In short my poetry is a mix of spiritual, soul, amazing anointed. Poet-speaker Minister Influence has a voice and presence that can best be compared to poets. He's open up for over the last year. Garnett Rogers Sr. Born in Sacramento ca. On April 4, 1974 to the parents of Shirley Rogers and William Gaines. Even as a baby dancing in my crib. My mother knew I had talent. As I grew older my gifts started to develop. Like drawing,acting,sports. And last but not least poetry my new found love. But before that I did the hip-hop thing. I work with such names as Flow, MosDef, Jill Scott just to name a few. But the love for my poetry was brewing inside of me. So I started my own solo tour. Around the bay area and Midwest to get some exposure. And I got rave reviews from different venues. Soon after watching the movie Courageous. I was convicted and laid down my life for the Lord. And devoted my poetry gift to him. It has been a ride for me but through Christ. All things are possible to those who believe "Church".
