Iman Williams Flute
Overview
Flutist born and raised in the DMV. I have studied classical flute at Virginia Commonwealth University, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and Peabody's Preparatory program.
I have a passion for performing and helping Black/Brown, and inner-city youth move closer toward their dreams and aspirations… using the power of the arts. They just need a chance, and educators like myself, who: will use culturally responsive teaching strategies, who is not afraid of amplifying and uplifting marginalized voices, and an educator who will not only make the effort to understand students’ unique and backgrounds, but also meet them where they are.
