Ian & Dan

I had an event at my house this past Saturday. About 100 people. Ian and Dan and I had worked out a set for me to do with them and planned to open up to friends as well after. We have a make shift stage in the backyard and they just set up and started grooving. My guests became instantly intrigued. They were fantastic. I began to hear from my friends that they loved how the music was at a perfect level where they could still carry a conversation while Ian and Dan performed. It was apparent to everyone that we were witnessing something special. I'm not sure if I can properly convey how they mesmerized everyone was but it was apparent that Ian and Dan were having a great time as well, and that just added to it. My sister and niece performed and everyone went wild as it was seamless. Shortly after it started raining so we cleared out the first floor of my house and moved everyone inside for my set. They didn't even blink and I can honestly say I cannot remember a moment when the the two of them were not smiling. I had never performed with them before which shouldn't be easy. But it was. They are that good. The feedback doesn't stop and some of my friends have already inquired about their future availability. Which would be great because I can't wait to gig with these guys again!! 5 Stars is an understatement.

Dan and Ian are the best! They can cover so many genres and with enthusiasm. My daughters (5 and 9) are both fans as well- they have each taken years of music classes with both Dan and Ian!

Always a wonderful time listening to these two play. They have so much fun playing for their audiences and the vibe just rubs off on you, too!

I have seen this duo perform on a number of occasions and in every case the crowds always have smiles on their faces. If you want your event to be successful check these two out. They are extremely diverse range in their musical catalogue ; they can easily shift from The Beatles to Lynard Skynard to Simon and Garfunkle to Frozen without skipping a beat. They can make any occasion super enjoyable. These guys are just downright fun.

It is hard to put this band in one or two categories! I chose several areas I have heard them play music from. Also this review only let me choose one date, but we have hired them for at least 5 over the past 5 years or more. They really do just about everything, from every era including some Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc. For just two people with a guitar and Djembe drum, they sound like a full band! They play everything they choose to play to compliment their synergy as a duo and skills on their instruments and combined voices. Harmonies are great, they take risks and perfect them. Simon & Garfunkle, James Taylor, Aerosmith, Coldplay, Train, Mumford & Sons and tons in between, you name it, they probably know at least one or two songs of anyone you can name or willing to learn it!! You can't go wrong picking this duo group for a private wedding, birthday, anniversary and I have also had the pleasure of attending a corporate event they did for DELL in Boston!! Amazing!! Even had a friend who hired them for her daughter's 4th birthday party one year! They can do children's music too!!
