December 16, 2025We hired DJ Louric for our event and had mixed feelings about the experience. While the karaoke portion was fun and several guests enjoyed participating, overall the night felt underwhelming for what we paid.
Unfortunately, the DJ arrived later than expected and seemed unprepared. He mentioned he wasn’t feeling well that day and did have someone assisting with setup, but the equipment setup took longer than anticipated and there were moments when guests arrived with no music playing, which created an awkward start to the event. He also appeared to struggle with some of his equipment and seemed a bit unorganized throughout the evening.
I had provided a lot of advance information about the vibe we were hoping for and the types of music that would keep the energy up, but it didn’t feel like that guidance translated into the flow of the night. The karaoke was enjoyable, but at times it went on too long without reading the room, which affected the overall energy.
I don’t doubt that he has the potential to do well, but for our event we were hoping for stronger crowd engagement, smoother transitions, and a higher-energy experience. I’m sharing this as honest feedback so future clients can have clear expectations and so improvements can be made.

The core issue I hear is that the event didn't deliver the energy and flow you envisioned, despite some information you provided during planning. That critique is heard, and I understand I didn't meet your expectations.
I also want to address a few points for clarity:
Regarding timing: I arrived at our agreed-upon 5:30 setup time and had music playing before the 7pm start. I did mention wishing I could have arrived even earlier since I wasn't feeling 100%—perhaps that created confusion. There was a brief 1-2 minute gap around 7pm due to a technical issue requiring a computer restart, which I should have had a backup solution for.
Regarding flow of the night: As the professional, I should have proactively discussed time allocations and energy management strategies during our prep. Going forward, I'm implementing new additions to my structured client consultations to clarify these expectations upfront.
