I've now been to two events by CJ- one a neighborhood Halloween party and one for our school's Valentine's dance. CJ DJ'ed our neighborhood association's spring festival and did a great job. He kept the music fun and family friendly. The instrumental Mmmbop while the kids looked for easter eggs was the perfect song choice . He also took a song request of mine and played it quickly.

Our primary goal is to ensure a safe, high-quality, and reliable performance. Clear communication regarding the venue's technical capabilities prior to the event is essential.
1. Power and Electrical Requirements
The complexity of our setup (sound system, subwoofers, moving head lighting, uplighting) necessitates sufficient, dedicated electrical power.
Minimum Power Requirement: We require a minimum of three (3) separate, dedicated 20-amp circuits within 25 feet of the primary performance area.
Circuit 1 (Audio): Dedicated entirely to the main sound system (speakers and subwoofers) to prevent audio dropout due to power surges.
Circuit 2 (Lighting/FX): Dedicated to all decorative and effect lighting, including moving heads, uplights, and any haze/fog machines.
Circuit 3 (DJ/Control): Dedicated to the DJ mixer, controller, laptop, and any small control surfaces (very low draw, but requires clean power).
Voltage: Standard 120V AC wall outlets (U.S. Standard).
Important Note: The use of shared, daisy-chained, or overloaded circuits must be avoided. If adequate dedicated power is not available, a small generator or power distribution box may be required, which we can discuss providing.
2. Staging and Space Requirements
The size of the stage or performance area must accommodate the full production setup safely.
Minimum Stage/Performance Area: A secure, dry, and level area of at least 6 feet (length) x 6 feet (depth) is required for the full setup (DJ, speakers, lighting trusses).
DJ Booth/Table: The venue must provide a sturdy table or booth.
Minimum Dimensions: A rectangular table measuring at least 6 feet (length) x 2.5 feet (depth) is preferred to safely house all primary gear, accessories, and a laptop.
Height: The table should be at standard standing height, ideally 3 to 3.5 feet (36–42 inches) tall, for comfortable operation.
Protection: For outdoor or semi-outdoor events, adequate cover (tent, awning, canopy) is required to protect all electronic equipment from sun, heat, wind, and moisture, regardless of current weather forecasts.
3. Setup, Access, and Logistics
Load-In/Access: Clear, unobstructed access to the performance area (including elevators if not ground floor) is required for efficient load-in and tear-down of equipment. Information regarding parking validation, loading docks, and venue-specific cart use is appreciated in advance.
Setup Time: We typically require 1.5 to 2 hours for a standard audio and lighting setup. Larger production packages (larger lighting packages, extensive trussing) may require additional time.
Security: If the performance area is left unattended at any point (e.g., during cocktail hour or a scheduled break), the venue must ensure the security of all equipment, or the client must provide a secure, locked space for storage.

Setup requirements
Dedicated Power: At least two (2) independent 15-amp or 20-amp circuits within 25 feet of the setup area to ensure stable power for audio and lighting.
Space Requirements: A level, solid surface area of at least 10' x 8' for the DJ booth, lighting totems, and sound system.
Table: One (1) 6-foot or 8-foot sturdy banquet table
Shelter (Outdoor Events Only): Complete overhead cover (tent or permanent structure) to protect electronics from direct sunlight and precipitation.
Early Access: Access to the performance area at least 120–180 minutes prior to the event start time for load-in, setup, and sound check.
Parking & Loading: On-site parking for one cargo van/SUV and a clear, accessible path for load-in (ramps or elevators if not on the ground floor).
