November 8, 2022Amazing Duo!
We hired this duo for our Ambassodr dinner which had a 20's theme, they were perfect! The music was amazing, they were very aware of the noise level and adjusted as the evening progressed. We were so very impressed and our group often applauded during their performance, (even during dinner!). We would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

What to expect
We provide musical entertainment suitable for refined evening entertainment where dancing is on the cards, Our band makes the perfect accompaniment to a drinks reception. We can cover a wide variety of music beyond the traditional Jazz repertoire, bringing a foot-tapping, head bobbing sense of 'cool' far above the traditional choice of background music from a string quartet or pianist.
We also off Jazz in a much more mellow and sultry style. If you want to impart a more ethereal, bluesy feel to your event, just let us know and we can provide fantastic Jazz duos and a cocktail singer who'll bring sophisticated charm to your event with our renditions of songs by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole. Jazz is a really broad term and covers many incarnations of the form, from Dixieland and Jazz Blues, right through to Modern Jazz, Free Jazz or even Acid Jazz. Due to the wide range of jazz styles, the line up and instrumentation of our jazz bands is also equally varied.
Our most popular musical types of jazz music for private events and weddings are:
Dixieland Trad. Jazz Music
We play songs from New Orleans/Charleston and old school jazz rags.
Swing Jazz bands
Usually, we feature a vocalist and often play Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Jamie Cullem.
Jazz Standards bands
Not a style of jazz as such, but taking inspiration from The Great American Song Book and Middle of the Road jazz classics. These bands can be instrumental and/or vocal.
We can provide a PA system and sound technician for an additional fee.
About
Hot Club of the Mountains honed their chops and showmanship in many clubs and performances in the Southeast, with subtle new influences from the Great American Songbook musical pantry (a dash of swing, a pinch of Spanish guitar, a handful of New Orleans hot peppers) tastefully simmered into satisfying musical gumbo. Lani Elizabeth's vocal styles are as dark and smoky as the lighthearted material is hip and funny--an inviting balance that's equally true to its historical sources. More than swing revivalists, their restless curiosity shows the Hot Club of the Mountains is a long-time fixture in the music scene of the Southeast. Hot Club of the Mountains is the premier event, dance, and wedding band in the Southeast.
