Honey Tap (Hunnitap) Live

Hunnitap is very dependable and reliable. He shows up on time, starts on time, and loves to play longer than asked. Typically, during live performances he takes a short break every hour or so and mixes up the tempos and moods of the music to deliver an interesting variety during his performances. He is easy to work with and can accommodate most venues requests which he carefully coordinates prior to each event.

He provides a high-quality PA System at all events, typically consisting of several powered PA Speakers. He is also capable of playing in areas that do not have AC power available (via a battery powered PA). He is capable of accommodating a wide range of venues from small to large.

He focuses on the quality of the music itself by using high quality backing tracks to make sure all the notes played and sung are spot on. He also dresses for the type of event (formal to casual) and focuses on being engaging and entertaining while not being overly talkative during the performance.

He can customize song lists to fit any type of event and provides DJ services or a combination of live music and DJ as needed. He can also serve as a DJ/MC, Master of Ceremonies at events like celebrations, parties, anniversaries, weddings, etc. His performances can range from covers of popular songs to more subdued background music and everything in between.

His audiences often compliment him on the quality of the sound as well as the fact that the music was enjoyable and allowed them to still hold a conversation. However, for events that want a more intense experience he can also deliver much higher volume with clear bass and treble tones.

Hunnitap fell in love with music at an early age and started playing electric guitar at 12 years old when he saved up $150 dollars to buy his first cheap guitar and amp at a local music store. At that time, he had a life-sized poster of Jimi Hendrix hanging proudly on his bedroom wall and dreamed of creating his own music someday. As he grew older, his musical interests spanned a wide range of musical genres of the time, including classic rock, blues, soul, country, folk, and even disco music.

By the time he was in high school, he had formed a band of his own which played at local events around his area. They loved to play Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, and Van Halen songs and improve their musical skills. At that time, he also started recording his own original music on a TASCAM 8 track tape recorder.

When he started college in Boston, he formed a band called “Mind Funk” which played a mix of his originals and lots of cover music. As part of that band, he was able to play in paid gigs almost every weekend all around Boston. At that time, he also was able to get in real recording studios and get experience recording music in a professional environment. He was also heavily influenced by his exposure to the Berkley School of Music which had a thriving musical scene pushing the limits of music at the time.

Ever since then, Hunnitap has continued his love of music and released 7 albums. Those albums are available on all major music platforms, and he is currently working on a new album. He now performs all around Florida and frequently Live Streams performances on his YouTube Channel. His performances continue to span a wide range of musical genres with high quality sound, and he loves performing to this day.

A flat area of at least 9x9 feet is preferred with AC power nearby. However, areas with no AC power can also be accommodated with battery operated equipment.
