For over twenty years of educating urban youth and supplying numerous workforce development presentations, Mr. Burns has created a system for intellectual development to manage negative emotions. This system is called Positive Intelligence Reinforcement,(PIR).It is designed for workforce development candidates, students, and staff employed in the corporate world and the non-profit arena. Specific areas are addressed according to the clients needs such as anger, fair competition, making yourself rare and education. November 14, 2018My name is Heide (Lindsey) Thornton. MBA.PMP. formerly employed with PNC Corp as an Assistant Vice President, Technology. During my tenure at PNC I had the pleasure of experiencing Mr. Herb Burns deliver a dynamic presentation at one the professional organizations events I attend during the year. He was the keynote speaker and I must say that he was truly dynamic and intriguing. In fact, he probably ranks as one the best I heard and I attend numerous functions as I belong to many organizations. Mr. Burns address wasn’t the same old pick me up motivational speech. This was the first time I heard a speaker who had the ability to produce voice impersonations and incorporate them into the theme of the event. His impersonation of Morgan Freeman and Orson Welles sounded like the real thing. Not only that, his touch of humor loosened up the audience and made everyone there feel comfortable. And for the older members of the audience who can remember Orson Welles, it brought back some great memories. There is no doubt we will not hesitate to book Herb for our next motivational seminar.

After a client schedules a booking they will receive an assessment form. This form will give Mr. Burns a clear indication of the demographics of the audience and the expected outcomes, goals and objectives. Once the goals of the client's audience are met, a customized presentation will be designed. An introductory power-point presentation will be handed offer to the client prior to the presentation for final approval. An in person presentation will be accompanied along with a colorful power-point visual containing facts, statistics, and copies of historical documentation. Historical events corresponding to modern day trials is an added unique feature, providing life long learning lessons. At the conclusion of the presentation 15 minutes will be set aside for Q&A. Participants will be given a survey to complete at the conclusion of the presentation. Mr. Burns will request co-ownership of video recordings of the presentation for future reference.
Herbert Addison Burns is an historical instructor at Tri- C Community College Encore Program and educator with 20 years of teaching middle and elementary students in the urban environment. Intellectual development to manage destructive emotions hindering career opportunities is his educational instruction for workforce development and afterschool programs. He calls this method Positive Intelligence Reinforcement, (PIR). Mr. Burns is also the former president of the Friends of the Library Warrensville Heights Library branch. Public speaking background includes giving manhood development presentations for community based organizations, industrial trade organizations in New York City, and Underground Railroad lectures to libraries and historical societies in northeast, Ohio.
