Her Sweet Remains

In the spring of 2006 four veterans of the Northern New Jersey music scene got together to find out if it made sense to put together yet another cover band to perform in a saturated market. Seven years and over two hundred-fifty bar and club appearances later, it's obvious the answer was yes. Because of tight musicianship and interesting interpretations HSR became one of the most popular bands in the area.

In 2008, three of the founding members along with two new players began to mix original songs into club shows and fans wanted more. Today, HSR is Her Sweet Remains.

Band members are Steven Schmidt (writer, lead vox, acoustic guitar), John Parkes (lead guitar), Greg Walker (Drums), Liam Scullin (bass, backing vox), and Kevin Tracy (Keyboards, backing vox).

Steven writes of life experiences from betrayal & deceit to the condition of our country and the world along with an occasional visit to the subjects of love and hope. Her Sweet Remains music has been described as "neo-classic / alternative rock", which may be right on the mark given Steven's influences....Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, The Black Crowes, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and Neil Young among others.
