Overview
I am a classically trained violinist and fiddler performing a variety of music for every occasion. My repertoire includes classical, pop, jazz, ballads, opera/broadway and movie themes, country, traditional Irish, classic rock and special requests. I perform with other instrumentalists and vocalists and can provide a duo, trio, or quartet. I am often hired to accompany other musicians and vocalists or appear with bands and have strong improv and chart reading skills. With 25 years experience performing shows, corporate events, weddings, funerals, proposals, private parties and solo engagements, I work to meet the needs of every client and provide a professional and gratifying experience.

March 12, 2026A violin performance fit for a museum
Heide performed 6 pieces of music at our wedding on March 7 at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. Not only did Heide master all 6 pieces we had selected in advance, but she also went a step further by creating extended versions of each song. In doing so, she still respected each composer's original composition, and all musicians who have so far heard the recordings of the evening's concert-within-a-wedding were mesmerized by Heide's skill... and natural gift.

Our daughter was married last Saturday, March 29th and the wedding was nothing short of magical. One of the elements that truly made the day unforgettable was the incredible music played by the extraordinarily talented Heidi Riggs. From the moment the ceremony began, Heidi’s beautiful violin melodies set a tone of elegance and warmth that we’ll never forget.

About
A Phoneix based violinist, Heide has performed for West Coast Music’s Impulse Band and renowned artists such as Michael Bulblé and David Foster, KYGO, GENTRI, Marie Osmond, Michael W. Smith, Josh Groban, and jazz violinist Regina Carter. Some of her favorite creative work is collaborating with other artists as a recording studio session player. As a Celtic fiddler, she is currently the tour fiddle player for internationally acclaimed Blaggards and has also performed with Dave Browne and Dave Rooney of The Black Donnelly’s, and Stephen Walsh at Trinity Bar in Dublin, Ireland. In the country music scene, Heide’s highlight performances include performing with DaisyTrain at Super Bowl XLIX Pepsi Hyped for Halftime Concert Series and as the VIP band for Alan Jackson, with TAD Management’s Nashville Gold History of Country Music Show, The Glen Campbell Story and Rhinestone Country, and Celtic Nation. Heide maintains a private teaching studio in Arizona and teaches lessons and fiddle classes online.
A classically trained violinist, Heide is Adjunct Faculty Strings for GCU, has received and accepted invitations to present masterclasses for universities, schools and youth orchestras and maintains her own private studio. Heide holds a Masters of Music Performance and Pedagogy from ASU School of Music where her most influential teachers included Danwen Jiang, Katie McLin, and the late William Magers. Heide studied in New York at Meadowmount Conservatory with Charles Avsharian and Skye Carmen, and in Minneapolis with Sally O’Reilly. She has performed classical and various styles for many symphonies, tribute shows, bands, and stage orchestras including Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
