About
Hayley Verrall is a singer-songwriter from Burlington, Ontario, whose music blends classic country roots with a fresh, heartfelt perspective. With a voice that’s warm and sincere, Hayley creates songs that tell stories about love, resilience, dreams, and the people who shape who we are. Her writing is grounded in real experiences and a deep appreciation for country music’s storytelling tradition, while her performances are known for their openness, energy, and genuine connection with audiences.
With over 500,000 streams across her music, Hayley is making her mark in the country music scene.
Her latest single, “Dear Dolly,” is a personal letter to her musical hero, Dolly Parton. Dolly has influenced not only Hayley’s sound, but also the kind of artist and person she strives to be. Blending the nostalgic feel of 80s and 90s country with Hayley’s modern sensibility, the song is both a tribute and a reflection of her journey as a songwriter. “Dolly’s music and the way she carries herself with grace, humour, and strength have been a huge influence on me,” Hayley says. “Writing this song felt like writing a thank-you note to someone who unknowingly helped me find my voice.”
Hayley’s musical path began at a young age. She found comfort and belonging in music during difficult times, especially while dealing with anxiety, bullying, and feeling like an outsider in school. Music became her anchor, a place to express herself and connect with others in a way that felt honest and empowering. Over the years, she’s grown into an artist with a clear purpose: to make people feel seen and to share stories that matter.
In addition to writing and performing her own music, Hayley is deeply committed to using her talents to give back. Her outreach program, Singing for Smiles, brings live performances of classic country songs to seniors in long-term care and retirement homes across Ontario. This work is close to her heart and a true extension of who she is. Her efforts to connect with people of all ages through music led to her induction into the Burlington Performing Arts Centre Hall of Fame, a recognition of both her artistry and her positive impact in the community she calls home.
Hayley has performed across Ontario and beyond, building a loyal audience through countless live shows, festivals, and community events. Whether she’s on a big stage or playing an intimate set, she brings the same sense of purpose and heart to every performance. Her music carries messages of hope, kindness, strength, and staying true to yourself. These values shine through in both her songs and the way she lives her life.
As she continues to grow as an artist and songwriter, Hayley remains rooted in the music that first inspired her, while confidently carving out her own voice in today’s country scene. With “Dear Dolly” and more music on the way, she invites listeners into a space that is honest, uplifting, and full of heart.
