October 28, 2021We hired Caroline for our Wedding Ceremony and we had a laundry list of songs ranging from pop, musicals, spiritual, to even obscure Filipino Ballads and she accommodated us in all these requests. She played pre-ceremony, processional, during and after the ceremony. We did a full Catholic Mass so she knew when to appropriately fill in silences with music without our direction. Caroline was a pleasure to work with and made our backyard ceremony even more special with her music.

Caroline Reyes is a professional harpist currently based out of Huntington Beach, CA. She began studying the harp with Sue Carole DeVale at the age of eleven after being inspired by Celtic harpist Patrick Ball. Throughout high school, Caroline became increasingly passionate about classical music and being an orchestral harpist and, in 2006, she moved to Rochester to study with Kathleen Bride at the prestigious Eastman School of Music. She received her Bachelors Degree in Music as well as the Diploma in Ethnomusicology in May of 2010. Caroline received her Master of Music degree from Eastman in May of 2012 and is looking forward to receiving her Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology in May of 2013. Caroline has also studied with Julie Barnes Spring (Toronto Symphony Orchestra) and Courtney Hershey Bress (Colorado Symphony Orchestra).
Caroline has performed with many notable ensembles and artists, including: The Laguna Beach Chorale, The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, The Finger Lakes Symphony, the Eastman Philharmonia, the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and Renee Fleming. In the winter of 2009, Caroline embarked on a tour with the Eastman Wind Ensemble to Ann Arbor, MI, Chicago, IL, Toronto, Canada, and Batavia, NY. She has recently performed as principal harpist in Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw with the Eastman Opera Theater and as second harpist in the Eastman Opera Theater’s Opera Gala. She has also recorded as a soloist and with ensembles on a number of occasions for institutions such as St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital, the Orange County High School of the Arts, and the Eastman Broadband Ensemble. Caroline has also held the position of solo harpist at the famous Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, MI.
