Laurel has been performing professionally as a harpist and singer for 30 years. She has played for over 1000 weddings, as well as countless dinners, luncheons, teas, grand openings, parties, funerals, fund raisers and other events. Her huge repertoire ranges from Bach to Beatles, Broadway to Bollywood, and everything in between. In addition to the concert harp, Laurel also plays Celtic harp.

Laurel McConkey, a graduate of the University of North Texas, is well known throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a professional harpist and singer. Hotels that she has played at regularly include the Westin Galleria, Sheraton Park Central, Omni Dallas Hotel Park West, The Melrose Hotel, and Plaza of the Americas Hotel. Besides playing for countless weddings, receptions, dinners, teas, luncheons, fashion shows, cocktail parties, grand openings and other special events, she has performed live on WFAA Channel 8 and KZPS 92.5. Laurel is known for her versatility, dependability and friendliness, not to mention her tremendous talent! She loves to learn new music and perform with other musicians. Harp & Flute, Harp & Violin, Harp, Flute & Cello and Harp, Violin & Cello are especially lovely combinations. Laurel also has an extensive background in opera and musical theater, which she utilizes in shows that she performs for civic groups, senior groups, children and churches. The programs, which interweave harp music, stories and songs include "Christmas in North America", "The Irish Harp In Story and Song", and "God Bless America".
