I am a truly original songwriter, with actual melodies that aren't just chord patterns or cookie-cutter copies of the hits. Clever, insightful, and touching lyrics that engage listeners emotionally and cerebrally as well as sonically. A unique fingerpicking style on the guitar supports my soft and expressive voice. I use multiple and partial capos on the guitar neck to further enhance the arrangements.
I also perform covers of songs by my favorite artists, but only those songs that mean something to me personally.

I am a postal worker by night, and a performing songwriter in the evenings. I host an open mic at a local coffeehouse, and perform as often as I can either as a solo, or with my band. My original songs have won awards, both locally and regionally, and cannot be categorized as merely "folk," ":country," or "rock," but use elements of all music genres,
When hired for an event, I seek to be appropriate for the audience. I can skew towards the old or the young, political or spiritual, uptempo or introspective.
I don't play dance music, but people have been inspired to take a turn on the floor as I play. Although I enjoy singing Beatles, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon or Jackson Browne, my own songs engage the listeners just as well.
I can adapt to most stage or lack of stage circumstances. Will provide a small sound system or can use yours. Or play acoustic for intimate venues
