What to expect

Gypsy Funk Squad plays a fusion of middle eastern and pop/rock with some other spices also added in. We are more of a party band but we have played mellow, all instrumental style for cocktail hour too. We also know how to make a dance party happen- and if needed have dancers that can instigate the adults or children to join in! You can book us with or without our dancer/dancers. Feel free to discuss this with us. We do have our own sound system. We also have different stage light packages. UV black lights are available if you would like to have a black light glow party (with glow body /face paint too)

About

Gypsy Funk Squad is a unique and eclectic dance band playing funked up as well as traditional music from Turkey, Armenia, Egypt, The Balkans, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, India and anything one can imagine played in bohemian cafes and exotic bazaars in many esoteric parts of the world. Their repertoire includes revamped rock tunes played in a gypsy style and original psychedelic surprises. The music lends itself well and is extremely popular among belly dancers and tribal dancing troupes, barefoot yoga dancers, and festival goers. You can have the wonderful expectation of seeing the audience dancing with fun and excitement and having a great time with Gypsy Funk Squad. Thanks, Jack

Additional booking notes

We do have our own sound system and lighting if needed- big or small. We can fit into pretty small space if we just have a 3 piece band of course it's nice to have space if we are bringing dancers. If customer is providing sound we will need 3 microphones, 2 x XLR inputs and 2 monitor speakers.
