GYDS has been supplying bartenders and servers since 2002 in Southern California. All of our bartenders are certified along with having either a Servsafe Certification, L.E.A.D.S. or T.I.P.S.
We also have Female & Male Bartenders on staff available upon request. Severs and Cocktail Waitresses.
I had two people (including David) from Party Services So Cal help out at my wedding this past Sunday. We had bartenders, and a served buffet lunch, but I forgot there is a lot more to hosting a party for 75 people than just having the food out there.
I made a last minute decision to get some more help, so the hubs and I wouldn't be running around for ice or restocking the desserts/non-alcoholic drinks. I confirmed the booking on Friday, and didn't remember to call to check in until Sunday (the morning of the event).
They just rolled with everything. They were on time, were willing to do all the random stuff we asked, and were always around helping clear stuff out, and doing whatever needed to be done. They cleaned up, and gathered our mass of stuff we brought from home. My friends even dragged them into the photobooth at some point for some group shots because they enjoyed having them around so much.
I cannot recommend them enough. I didn't have to worry about anything with them around to make it looked like I had planned it like this all along.

Look no further GYD party services is hands down the best for all your party needs. I hired them as waitstaff for my daughter‘s quinceañera this past weekend and OMG did they go above and beyond and exceed all of my expectations!!! I had never hired a waitstaff before in my life and they really set the bar high. Marisela was AMAZING!!!! My event wouldn’t have been successful without her. She was in charge and on top of every single detail. She is so knowledgeable and quick. She really made it easy for me so I didn’t have to stress. The rest of the girls were awesome as well. I had so many set of hands that I was able to focus on my daughter’s big day. Thank you so much, I am eternally grateful and will definitely be hiring you guys for all my future events.
I needed 3 staff members to direct traffic and move tables to set up for reception. The staff that was sent was two small girls (maybe 16) that could not carry the tables and the mom of the girls who did not speak much English. We ended up having to pay for an extra person (the dad of the girls) to stay to help carry the tables. He did not speak much English. The staff was given tasks but was not able to take initiative to go through each task without being rushed and reminded what to do. Make sure to clarify if you want strong people for the staff members.
These ladies are the best, I would highly recommend them!
The servers that came to the party were great. They were experienced, efficient, and pleasant to work with.
I needed servers for our wedding of 350 guests and they did amazing! They were attentive and very polite to my guests. One of the girls even came up to me at the end of her shift and congratulated me, that was very sweet of her. They left the kitchen spotless as directed and they helped so much with the cleaning. I highly recommend GYD Party Services!! For all of you there the night of my wedding, thank you so much for your service!

We had a small backyard wedding and had a bartender. Everything was set up and provided, it looked so nice and everyone loved our bar menu options there was never an empty line. Our bartender was so nice and really worked hard even when the line was crazy long. If anyone needs a bartender this is a good vendor to get one! Will recommend for sure (: I have no pictures of the setup but I took a picture of my first drink lol

Great experience from the moment I submitted an inquiry. Quick response, and I booked immediately. The following week, I requested a coi, and received it same day! They called to confirm details, even showed up early on day of event and were fantastic through out the day.
Our bartender (Danielle) was very unprofessional. She got to our event 20 minutes late, which we understand, LA traffic isn’t the most ideal. However, once she arrived instead of trying to turn our experience around, she grabbed a bag of chips from our event's table and started eating them. I even had to remind her to pull out her tip jar to try and help her out. Danielle continued to eat our event's food throughout the afternoon (hot dogs) that were meant for our residents to eat and she was on her phone and sitting down behind the bar the majority of the time. This is a luxury apartment complex and we really hold our team to a high standard which means we hold whoever we hire for events, to a high standard as well. My team and I threw the event, the bartender was supposed to be there working at the event. I’m guessing she saw my team and I engaging with residents and eating however, my team and I are a different story than someone we hire specifically to come work at an event.
We have many different residents here and most really want to experience that 5star luxury. You wouldn’t go to Ritz and the bartender is eating and on their phone - that’s the same experience we want to give our residents.
I really struggled to leave this review because I never want to hurt anyone’s business but this was such an important event and hiring a bartender, I thought it would make everything smoother for hosting this event. The bartender was two hours late. I paid extra money for a portable bar. He showed up with a table and to this day I have not heard one peep about reimbursing me for the portable bar that I paid for. The bartender was friendly but everything started downhill because he was two hours late from when he was originally supposed to be here and we ended up helping with the setup.
We had to young men who came to help serve our holiday party. To my surprise they were early! Which is always nice. They had a pleasant and respectful demeanor which everyone loved. Their help was so appreciated and they were constantly asking what else to help with. We will for sure be booking help again with GYD party services!! thank you for the help of these young men!!
Janet was very punctual, she came and set up the bar quickly. I got good feedback from the guests regarding her being very fast and professional. Will hire this company again

Total disaster, extremely inexperienced bartender . He didn’t know how to open a champagne bottle! I will never ever again contact this website! Total waste of money! I want my money back!
Brittany came and helped with my baby shower and she did an amazing job. She offered to help with anything we needed and our guests loved her. Highly recommend using this company for extra hands at a party.
My husband turned 50 and he is an amateur mixologist, so finding a bartender who could make the drinks he makes well, proved tough. David was super understating when we spoke on the phone and was amenable to our version of recipes and the menu we wanted. He reviewed everything with me the week of and answered my detailed questions promptly. Karen was our bartender for the evening and showed up early, which I prefer over late. She did a great job, was friendly and tidy. It was great to have someone else make drinks at our house for his small surprise party.

GYD Party Services is my go to for bartending services moving forward. I am extremely happy with the service GYD provided for my event. GYD created a list of items I needed to purchase for my selection of drinks. So easy to show up to Costco and BevMo to pick up my items and remove the guess work. GYD showed up on time, well dress and friendly from the start to end. Their setup was clean. My event (wedding) had around 150 guests, which about 50% were drinking very heavy (mixed drinks and beer) through the entire night. GYD had NO ISSUE providing what my guest ordered. A list of mixed drinks were provided the night of the event. GYD made the process of hiring so easy and informative. David and Karen were super friendly, professional and fun. No issues with GYD. Ah, and they even went on a beer and ice run half way through my event! They offered and insisted! Incredible! GYD Party Services, Thank You for an amazing night!

Hired a bar tender and two servers for a party at my house. One person showed up on time and was great. The bar tender was great, but was 30min late due to traffic. One server did not show up at all, but he did refund me the money for the no show.

An adequate bartender but arrived 30 minutes late to the event I have in the text that he was supposed to be at the event at 5:30 and he arrived at 6 I was not happy with this in fact the time between 5:30 and 6 was a very uncomfortable time for me not knowing if he was going to show he also brought two servers I paid $20 an hour for the servers I paid $30 an hour for him he said I owed him an additional $195 is which I thought I paid everything on my credit card I gave him $195 in cash and I also gave him $100 as a tip that was supposed to be split up between him and the two servers like to make sure what gigsalad charge me thank you very much again my name is Antoinette
David is the man for the job.
Our bartender showed up early, was prepared, and professional, which is a great deal more than I can say for the past two bartenders I've hired from other companies. I'd hire GYD Party Services again. Although I might suggest in the future the bartender get permission to put a tip jar out, especially at a party at a personal residence. It's generally not appropriate to ask guests to tip the bartender at someone's home. Additionally I'd suggest the bartender come prepared with some drink suggestions, or at least a standard list of questions, e.g. do you like sweet or sour drinks, etc, for those you are undecided.
I had two servers, Ruby and Heather. They were amazing during my wedding day.
I used to be in events, so I tried to set things up as best as I could for when the servers would be arriving (and I would be off getting married!). When I returned, I saw that Ruby and Heather had followed instructions as well as went above and beyond to set up things in the most logistical way possible.
I didn't have to worry a single bit throughout my reception which, for any bride, is the best thing that can happen.
I LOVED them and a huge thank you to David, who eased my mind during first communication.
Food was packed away and refrigerated, trash was taken out, and tables were free of trash.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for servers. Trust me, I looked through TONS before I settled on these guys. And I am very glad we did!

I didn't have much interaction with the bartender since I was busy enjoying the wedding but don't have complaints. None of my guest said anything negative about her either so I'm guessing it went well =) The only odd thing was that at the end of her shift she pulled me and my wife aside but she set the mood for something negative. She said she wanted to speak to us and then said that she wanted us to stay best friends. It was odd, just because she's a stranger to us. It wasn't welcomed at all. Besides that it went smoothly.
David and his team were incredible! Prompt, professional, and exactly what we needed. They really made the event run smoothly! Will call them again!

The bartender and services that were provided were great for our party. All of the guests loved her. She was on time and interacted easily with all of the guests. Setting up the details were very easy and GYD even provided shopping instructions that ensured we had enough supplies for the party! Will use again in the future!!

David and his team did such a great job directing the flow of traffic and managing the buffet line, replenishing anything as needed. His friendly team arrived on time and after going over the plan, they took the reigns and executed with flying colors. I was able to relax a bit and focus on other aspects of the event knowing that the food was being handled. I would definitely hire them again! Thank you thank you thank you!

Our servers did well in a complicated party, extra crowded because everyone was indoors because of the cold. Where they fell short was clean-up. They let us know it was time for them to leave and there were still guests here so they could not complete clean-up, but my and my husband's understanding was that they had cleaned up everything they could except for stuff the guests were still using. That was not the case. If we had known how much cleaning remained we would have asked them to stay for another half-hour. Every wine glass was dirty with none in the dishwasher - so we faced washing 100 wine glasses in the morning. Half of the plates were unwashed. There were still wine glasses, napkins and plates scattered around the house, even in areas where no guests had been sitting for quite a long time. The meat serving platters had not been washed and by morning when we faced them the meat left on the platters had hardened on and required much scrubbing. We had said last year's weakness was clean-up and hoped that would trigger more concern in this area. The mess that was left created a miserable morning-after for us.
Overall I was very satisfied with the bartender but feel the communication before the event could have been better. I bought several items that we didn't need and way too much of the items that we used, that's why only 4 stars. The bartender arrived on time was professional and engaging. I would definitely use the service again.

David and Wendy did a great job setting up and working our event. David was very communicative before the party and made it very easy to work out the details. We would definitely use them again!
GYD provides us with bartending and wait staff service for our wedding reception. They were early, got setup well, and we're professional and efficient throughout the entire night.
The only con I have is that communication could have been a little better/quicker in the lead-up on GigSalad. It didn't adversely affect the service in the end though.
Corresponding with David over the phone and email was a breeze. He answered all of our questions, and even posted pictures of the bar setup for us to see. Unfortunately he wasn't able to personally see to our event the day of-- but the bartending crew GYD sent over were on time, professional, friendly and creative! 10/10 would definitely hire again and recommend you do the same!
