Hailing from Queens, NY, with roots and family tree all over the Burroughs, Malik took his first steps in the cool northeastern Nuance of the early 90's. Only a few years passed before a family relocation to a memorable childhood neighborhood in Virginia Beach, VA where the music became the influence. hip-hop legends and hometown heroes like Pharrell Williams, timberland, missy Elliot, and pusha T would consistently push their influence into the Surrounding music/ dance culture of the early 2000's. Classic hip-hop, boom-bad, electronic ballads, alternative, chords, sultry neo-soul sounds all play a part in the movement that is Malik.

The training as a child had all been a solo journey through observation and practice with a Burning desire to express body moment in a legible way. Popular dance moves, "old-school" hip-hop grooves, and watching the local neighbors enjoy the music of the times until 2010 with the discovery the traveling dance collective known as of KODACHROME. Through the teenage years, this organization shared collective of All styles from Jazz, contemporary, and house to Hip-hop, Krump, Popping and breaking was taught and confidence built toward greener pastures. It was this training that led Malik into a future of dance/movement composition, physical expression, and overall body motion.

The years following consisted of hip-hop concept videos, collegiate dance performances, college, and eventually 2012 led into training in Virginia Beach, VA. The studio Baila Fuzion Dance Company offers a multitude of dance styles choices and specializes in Caribbean and Hispanic cultured dance styles. Within the hip-hop department of the studio Malik danced under crew "Baila Tribe", representing in battles, performances, showcases, etc. This continues through a move to Los Angeles in 2016 and continued training through the Southern California Dance Community.

Currently a professional hip-hop Dancer, choreographer, and freestyler Malik has a pride in his work that only a loving laborer would show. In the time spent in Los Angeles since 2016, Malik has also connected with a plethora of amazing dancers that will be featured in performances on-stage and in-film.
