Gibron Lastname

"Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be an artist. I remember putting on my du-rag, Red Lobster chains with a brush (mic) in my hand performing my own sets in my basement". In the 6th grade Gibron orchestrated his first group and began singing. For his 8th grade graduation from Crispus Attucks in Chicago, IL he sang, "The World's Greatest" and had the opportunity to perform for R. Kelly at River Oaks Mall in Calumet City, Illinois. At age 13, Gibron took piano lessons from Peter Cottontale (Social Experiment) and worked to increase his artistry. Around the age of 15, Gibron Lastname decided to take the steps to making his dream reality by continuing to strengthen his writing abilities. He recorded his first song at the age of 15 on a mic his mother bought him as a present. Gibron began rapping when a member of his group (TotalSwagg) told him he should switch it up and rap on a song. After the response he received from his high school history teacher he's been rapping ever since. Gibron's influences includes artists such as Lil Wayne, 2pac, Biggie, Kanye West, Jay Z, André 3000, Curren$y, Nas, Drake, Kid Cudi and Wiz Khalifa. Gibron Lastname has opened for artists such as Gorilla Zoe, Trinidad James, and Waka Flocka Flame. After releasing 8 singles on his Soundcloud page Gibron released an EP entitled "Till Death Do Us Part" In December of 2015. Gibron has aspirations of building his brand by giving back to the community, starting a production company, and building a catalog of timeless music that resonates across all audiences which will soon make him a household name.
