July 18, 2022George and his wife Amy are awesome! They adapted quickly to a change of plans, due to weather, and so many of our guests commented on his vocals. He even lent his guitar to one our employees to show off during our event and they became quick friends. Guitarists know this is a big ask and George was so generous to oblige. Everyone was dancing and having a ball and both he and his wife were right there with everyone enjoying the party. It was such a great time and I highly encourage you to use George!

February 24, 2022George had been playing monthly for us for about 24 months... Our residents love his personable style, his strong guitar playing and vocals, and his attention to detail with his music. He does a good job interacting with everyone. He is a highlight every month, and we even booked him every week in December.

George's vocals are his strong point as he captures the feel for the song he is singing. The wide variety of songs in his repertoire are well suited for a mature audience and range from the 1930's through the 1980's covering standards, rock & roll, classic country and show tunes. The ability to provide the correct ambiance for an event is crucial and this entertainer prides himself on never being too loud for the most intimate occasion yet "keeping the party going" when needed.
George Whitesell grew up in the Hudson River Valley of New York where he started playing in bands at the age of 15. His musical popularity in Colorado Springs started growing since moving here in 1972. In George’s recording of Pray For Me (I Drive Academy) became a regional hit in 1983. The novelty song told of the woes of driving Academy Blvd. George is most well-known as a solo artist and for the bands, Magic Touch, Something Special, Salt Creek, Eclectic Rhythm & Blues, Metro Blues and George Whitesell & His All Stars. One of his original songs, Mine All the Way, was selected to be on the CD Sounds of the Pikes Peak Region, a collection of tunes by local artists presented by the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR). Mine All the Way was also chosen to be on the Colorado Music Business Organization's (COMBO) compilation CD in 2016.
