October 29, 2018Exceeded Expectations
Genevieve did an amazing job performing at my wedding ceremony at Sticks, Inc. in October. We ended up having to have our ceremony inside, and I was worried that it might sound too loud or maybe echo in the large/open space, but it couldn't have sounded more perfect. Multiple guests told me and other people how beautiful our violinist was and that it was very unique. Great song selections and easy to work with. Thanks Genevieve!

October 28, 2018Masterful performance, truly phenomenal.
Genevieve absolutely lived up to her billing and put on a memorable performance. Her music was soft yet very present just at the right moments, and as a true performer captured everyone's attention as she transitioned into ranges that had all that attended on there feet dancing. I simply can't say enough to express how pleased we are to have met Genevieve and experienced here talents first hand. Booking The One-Woman Symphony was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

What to expect
Audiences can expect a high-impact, immersive performance from Geneviève Gros-Louis — The One-Woman Symphony: a powerhouse violinist, composer, and producer who creates the feeling of a full band or even an entire orchestra onstage.
Geneviève performs on an acoustically amplified violin (and can also feature her electric 5-string violin), accompanied by custom backing tracks she produces herself, delivering a rich, cinematic sound that’s both polished and exciting. With 10+ hours of unrepeated repertoire spanning classical, pop, film music, world, fiddle, and original compositions, every set is tailored to the moment—whether you want elegant ambiance, upbeat crowd favorites, or a feature performance that brings the room to life.
A Los Angeles–based First Nations/Canadian artist from the Huron-Wendat Nation, Geneviève’s music bridges Indigenous tradition and contemporary sound. Her work spans major stages and screens—from scoring National Geographic’s Emmy-winning Life Below Zero to recording at Abbey Road Studios—and that cinematic storytelling comes through in every live set. Above all, audiences walk away feeling energized, moved, and like they’ve experienced something truly special.
About
Geneviève Gros-Louis is a Los Angeles–based First Nations/Canadian composer, producer, and violinist from the Huron-Wendat Nation whose work bridges Indigenous tradition and contemporary sound. She has scored multiple seasons for National Geographic’s Emmy-winning “Life Below Zero,” Magnolia Pictures’ “A Savage Art” (dir. by Bill Banowsky), and the award-winning short film “Courage” (dir. by Eric Michael Hernandez). Her recent film and television scores include “Guardian of the Land” for Oregon Public Broadcasting (dir. by LaRonn Katchia) and “Reclaim My Skin” (dir. by Marie Clements). In October 2025, she recorded her debut orchestral album for Audio Network at Abbey Road Studios in London with members of the Royal Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with world champion hoop dancer and flutist Tony Duncan. That same year, she premiered “Ya’ta’” with Ensemble Urbain in Montréal—a work that blends traditional Indigenous storytelling with orchestral music to share the Wendat creation story of how humans were formed from clay. A #GRAMMYsNextGen artist and member of both the Recording and Television Academies, Geneviève has collaborated with Nelly Furtado, the Clooney Foundation for Justice, and “Dancing with the Stars.” Her music has been featured at Cannes Film Festival, Paris Fashion Week, Santa Fe Indian Market, and in museums and cultural showcases around the world.
Additional booking notes
I perform on electric violin with professionally produced backing tracks played from an iPad. I can provide a small amp/speaker for intimate settings, or I can plug into a larger house sound system (PA) if available. I also have wireless capability for strolling/roaming performances (ideal for cocktail hour or mingling with guests).
If desired, I can also include visuals/video content to accompany select pieces—especially original music from my film/TV scores—when a screen/projector/TV is available.
Preferred: access to power and, if using house sound, an XLR or 1/4” line input.
