Bill performed for nearly 1,000 guests at our company employee open house. He was fantastic! Easy to work and would highly recommend Bill. We will use him again.

Response from Gee! William:
Thanks for the kind words, Lila! It was my pleasure! ~ Bill

Gee! William was exactly what I was looking for! Bill brought a full-band sound in a one-man show to our small fundraiser last night! He played music selections that all of our guests ranging in age from early 30s-mid 50s could enjoy. If you're looking for someone to be the background music or the front and center act, Bill is your guy! He knows how to read a crowd and how to tweak his show for everyone's enjoyment. We will be using his services again and I assume that many in attendance at our fundraiser will be asking for his contact info as well!

Response from Gee! William:
Thank you Marisa! I enjoyed myself immensely, and I hope the fundraiser did what you needed it to! Thanks for your kind words! Cheers - Bill

Bill was absolutely outstanding. Excellent music performance and choices to suit the crowd. We had a neighborhood block style party to meet the neighbors, so was rather busy meeting neighbors and chatting with everyone. Bill did his thing without needing any direction or input from su the hosts, which was great. He was also very flexible and delayed the start until some more guests arrived. Overall top notch musician and extremely easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Thanks Jeffery & Katie! It was a blast - it would be my pleasure to work with you again!

Gee! William was an outstanding addition to our re-Grand Opening events. A pleasure to work with as well as low maintenance. Bill added some much needed fun, excitement and enjoyment to both of our events. All participants enjoying themselves knew the songs he played in his sets. Was a wonderful choice that melded well with the energy flow of what we were looking for. Only setup that was required on my end was to provide a standard outlet with an extension chord and the rest was taken care of. Bill would contact me to confirm before each event when he would arrive which was very helpful as planning event takes a good amount of coordination. Not having to worry about the talent was a weight off my shoulders. Very professional, punctual, reliable, full of talent, communicative and simple. Plus... the experience of a full live band for a fraction of the cost. The relationship that we built with Bill is something to value and we will be reaching out to him for many more events to come! What an OUTSTANDING performance.

Bill played a great variety of music from at least 5 decades. We narrowed down the list of musicians from his repertoire and Bill did not disappoint. He's got a great sound and added a lot of fun to our party. Thanks Bill!

What to Expect
I am a solo performer providing live music with custom backing tracks mixed in my home studio, where I meticulously recreate the original song, for live Gee! William performances. The result is a live band sound, but at a solo musician price.
My mantra in song selection is "Songs You Know - Sing Along With - Dance To". Meaning, I choose songs that are orientated in engaging the audience through dance and singing along and playing songs that are familiar to audiences.
My sets flow well in terms of Beat Per Minute (BPM) and the key of the song. That is to say, the BMP and song keys rise and fall to create two or three different peaks each set, allowing the audience to engage and then refresh themselves. I cater to the energy of the room and change things up if need be.
In a three set show (including two 20-minute breaks), I typically play around 45 - 50 songs. I also have an additional 25 - 30 songs I rotate in my live music sets. These additional songs include Alternative, Blues, Country, and Slow songs. I also am prepared with a few "Special Occasion" songs, such as Happy Birthday & Christmas / New Years Eve songs. I also take requests for a specific song you would like to hear at your event - I need about 2-weeks notice to mix and rehearse requests (if they are in my vocal range and character of the rest of my sets).
I mix everything from the stage via a Bluetooth connection to my PA - meaning I can respond instantly to concerns about volume levels. In general, I try to set the volume to a point where audience members can still talk while seated but "feel the groove" when dancing.
My PA system and lighting are compact. and set up can take as few as 45-minutes (including a sound check).
About
One Man That Sounds Like a Whole Band!
I take pride in putting on great shows & have over 90 songs in my repertoire. Genres include rock, pop, soul, blues & country. I use custom backing tracks during my live performances, where I sing and play guitar along with the track. That way audiences get the feel of an entire band playing their favorite songs. Set up for a show generally takes 45-minutes or less (including sound check). One hour is preferred. I mix the sound right from the stage! Generally, I travel with my own PA but can use a "house" PA if requested. I require two XLR (mic) cable inputs and one ¼" unbalanced (guitar) input, and someone to mix the sound to utilize your house PA. I prefer to have a 5ft. by 5ft. space to perform on. I can accommodate smaller performance spaces with advance notice.
A Little About Gee! William
I am based out of Milwaukee, WI and have been a professional musician for over 40 years. My experiences include rock and pop bands, blues bands, country bands, bands that record and play their own music, and worship music. The idea of using backing trax actually began when I worked as a Worship Leader at a smaller church. There were some singers in the congregation, but few musicians who were available for a commitment to play live worship music. So, I started recording my own backing tracks so the singers and I could deliver authentic contemporary worship, despite the lack of personnel. This proved very successful, and in 2019 I began mixing songs for Gee! William. I have been providing music in clubs, bars, and private events since then, and love bringing music to folks at a reasonable price!
Additional Booking Notes
Generally, I travel with my own PA and light show but can use a "house" PA if requested. I require two XLR (mic) cable inputs and one ¼" unbalanced (guitar) input, and someone to mix the sound to utilize your house PA.
I prefer to have a 5ft. by 5ft. space to perform on. I can accommodate smaller performance spaces with advance notice.
I require one dedicated 20 amp GROUNDED electrical outlet (e.g. 3-prong) for use during the show. The outlet should not share power with neon or florescent lighting.
If the event is to be outdoors, I also require a flat level surface protected from the elements with close proximity to the electrical outlet. I can provide a 13' X 13" Pop-Up Canopy for an additional $35.00
Due to safety concerns, I cannot play on grass or other surface that will pass electricity directly to the earth. If the elements threaten my safety, health, or equipment, I reserve the right to suspend the performance until the threat is resolved.
I also cannot play using a portable gasoline powered generator.

Influences & Inspiration
As with most people, my influences are varied and a product of my life and professional experiences. Vocally, I am a "beat-up" tenor, similar to Tommy James, Bob Seger, The Beatle, Elvis Costello or Deep Purple. That being said, I can cover quite a bit of vocal range, from Dion to Elton John to The Black Crowes to Green Day.
Guitar-wise, as with many, I started out with the blues and early guitar heroes as influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Ritchie Blackmore. Over the years I have expanded my guitar capacities to include folk, pop, country, and soul music.
I currently have over 90 songs in my repertoire. Artists include Andy Kim, The Beatles, Bob Seger, The Commitments, David Bowie, Deep Purple, Elvis Costello, Fountains of Wayne, Green Day, The Kinks, The Ramones, REO Speedwagon, Ringo Starr, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, ZZ Top and many others.
Setup Requirements
A flat level surface with close proximity (10 feet) to a grounded electrical outlet.
If the performance area is further than 10 feet away from the grounded electrical outlet, please provide a 12-gauge minimum grounded (3-prong) extension cord for my use.
