Took her lesson in Nyack and I was not disappointed I went. Been to a few different lessons in the city and she's been my favorite instructor so far. Love her energy and attitude. She's great at communicating and explaining how to do the steps. Will be going back.

Every time I go, I have a great time. It’s always a positive vibe and everyone dances with everyone. I always see the more skilled dancers helping out the beginners so don’t worry if you are just starting to dance. This place is always welcome to people with all different skill levels. I would 100% recommend this place. It’s a way to break up my week with a great night of dancing, laughter with great people and pure fun.

Latin Wednesday nights at Karma with the #salsaliciousbaby crew are hands down the highlight of my week! I am thrilled to have such a kind community of great dancers in Nyack. Before dancing with Karen I knew nothing of Salsa. Now I'm learning so much it's so fun encouraging and surprisingly easy even when it's hard. I believe that because it's so much fun. It's a safe place to make mistakes and Learn and Grow and just fall in love with Salsa. I know I did, and I'm glad every time I dance.

Latin Wednesday’s at Karma have become a mandatory part of the week for so many people in Rockland County! Karen provides basic yet comprehensive salsa lessons at 8pm, with lots of positive reinforcement and also some sassy sarcasm making it impossible not to laugh the whole hour. The hour goes by fast but at the end, it’s like “Wow, I can really dance Salsa!”. Never in my life would I think I would be able to learn this intimidating dance style. At 9pm the regular Salsalicious dance crew starts to come in, along with many other first timers and some timers. One thing is for sure, every Wednesday the place gets more and more of a crowd. The DJ (DJ-SC-ONE) is amazing! Spins a great mix of mostly salsa, but some merengue and bachata mixed in too. Karma has fabulous house wines for $6 a glass (I’m a wine snob so I wouldn’t endorse unless they were good), and Mojitos for $7 with fresh muddled mint. The whole ambiance along with everyone’s energy really gets you to feel like you’re part of the “crew” and I’ve been coming back since! Sometimes I just watch the more advanced dancers in amazement and order dinner and have a glass of wine. Sometimes I come at 8pm to take refresher lessons then try to improve my moves with my new found friends who also took the lessons that day! Either way it’s hopping all the way until Midnight! It’s a must try... Karen has done a really good job getting this to be a “Thing” in Nyack.

Right from the start of the salsa lesson I knew this was going to be a special afternoon as a DJ I have done a lot of salsa lesson 1st them open floor dancing Karen had the students ON LOCK during the lesson I’ve never heard a instructor say BEND YOUR KNEES. And then of course after the salsa lesson the vibe in the room was electric can’t wait for the next one

Karen is a great instructor with great energy and high spirited fun. I came in without any knowledge or experience with salsa dancing and I'm having so much fun and doing great. Others in the class are warm and welcoming. It is salsalicious!

Not too long ago, I developed a passion for Salsa. Going in as a complete newbie, I had no idea how and where I was going to start. I was fortunate enough to meet Karen through one of the Salsa Socials that she holds every Wednesday, at Casa del Sol in Nyack, NY.

When I met her, she was full of energy and had a very welcoming personality. She legit cares about you and is always motivated to teach new comers, so they can enjoy the wonders of Salsa and have fun with it.

As soon as I found out that she taught classes, I signed up for it immediately. By the third class, I noticed myself getting better and more confident with Salsa. Even other people began to notice me progressing.

So if you're tired of sitting on the sidelines and watching other people enjoy Salsa without, I highly recommend taking up lessons with Karen.

Also, as a guy, I realize that we MUST become suitable dancers in order to lead the woman properly on the floor. Karen, not only shows you the basics and the advanced movements, but she also teaches you the "Do's" and the "Do Not's" of how to treat the lady. She over delivers in EVERY aspect when it comes to Salsa.

Karen came to teach my university salsa dancing and gave awesome demos and fun lessons to the students for two whole hours. The event took place in my school and she was so bubbly and energetic and got even timid students to dance! So many of the students came up to me after and were so excited that they learned so many moves in such a short period of time. Karen is so punctual and just a great person to book for events. I give her a 10 out of 10! I would give her 11 out of 10 if I could. 5 stars for sure. BOOK HER!

I took a series of 3 salsa lessons with Karen, one hour each time. By the end of the third lesson I had not only learned salsa basics but I also learned to lead 5 different turns. I was amazed at how fast she was able to help me learn and I had a great time at every lesson. Thanks Karen!

I first met Karen at the West Gate Lounge back on December 15, 2011. I was at the West Gate with a few of my friends at a reunion, and I noticed how Karen just lit up the floor with her energy, joy and passion for dancing. Los Hermanos Moreno was the featured entertainment for that evening and they played all of their hits (all extremely danceable).
While I had not danced salsa in many years, I asked her to dance and she not only obliged me, she actually made me feel that I was a good dancer (LOL). I have since attended several of her classes and the energy and passion that I saw on the floor that night transcended to the practice floor. She made everyone fell welcome, and worked with us who grew up on the "Salsa on One" to become comfortable with "Salsa on Two".
She exudes the joy and passion that she feels while dancing and relays that to all around her.

I remember walking into Karen's class more than nervous and amazed at her presence on the floor but Karen's warm presence quickly melted any fear I had to fully commit myself. She is extremely patient and her teaching style makes it easy for anyone to leave her class feeling more confident than before. Her expertise allows her to pick up on subtle kinks that may be hindering your progress...she really knows how to break things down. Her class is also full of diverse people of all walk of life and ages who all came to have a great time while encouraging each other's progress. Plus, the atmosphere created by her passionate spirit in each session keeps you coming back for more & more. It's no wonder why before I knew it I was flying across the floor just as I seen her do on my first day. The experience of Karen's class is like no other and I hope many others get a taste of it...although I'm sure a taste won't be enough.

I attended Karen's class all summer long. My personal goals for attending her class were fitness based and getting back into salsa. I learned how to salsa years ago. I never went out to dance and practice. Years later, there I was in Karen's class. Her class was fun, organized and she nailed the technical parts. I had some errors in my steps, which threw off my rhythm. It was frustrating for me. I couldn't understand what was going on. Karen immediately picked up the few things that frustrated me and that prevented me from being successful with this style of dance. What a change!
When I first began her class, I was nervous and felt intimidated. She totally relaxed me and created a safe environment to learn and to enjoy salsa. She got me moving and dancing immediately, she broke down all the steps. Within weeks I was doing complicated move. I was so proud of myself!
Karen is dynamic, sexy, kind and just a joy to be with. I thank her for being so patient, so helpful and for making me a better salsa dancer!!

I took private lessons with Karen last year when I lived in Rockland County. She is an excellent dancer - she can really move! She is beautiful to watch. She understands how to break down the basics and teach them clearly. She knows her stuff! And - she is so full of life and fun and kindness and joy - it shows in her dancing and her teaching.

As a Christmas gift last year, I decided to enroll Karen's expertise to teach my fiance and i how to salsa dance. We'd had a lukewarm experience with other instructors in the past but with Karen she made everything so much FUN while also managing to teach us the moves. I participated in a few of Karen's Salsa Classes while living in NY, and it is an understatement to say I enjoyed myself! She is truly a kind individual and teaches each dancer at his/her own pace while throwing challenges in along the way. Since relocating, I am having withdrawal symptoms from not being able to take her classes! I truly miss her BRIGHT personality and learning from one of the best.
