What to expect
Hiring the Fried Angels will guarantee you a good time. The band hits grooves that will have audience members dancing and often singing along to some familiar and not so familiar tunes.
About
The band grew out of the Covid lockdown. The bassist’s mother was in a care home, he wasn’t allowed in for literally months to see her, and decided he had to do something drastic. So, he calls up some fellow musicians, who all say yes, and they gather in a parking lot to play an hour of blues and reggae for the shut-ins and nurses. The band stayed together, eventually becoming the house blues band at the Rockpile in Toronto.
We’ve been doing it since.
We’re primarily a Blues band, tossing in healthy doses of Reggae and island vibes such as Soca and lots of latin grooves.
Additional booking notes
We’re a small and portable 5 piece band. Our gear is simple, we don’t take up a lot of room, and sound techs love us because we’re so easy to work with.
