December 6, 2022If you want your occasion to have a magical, vibrant feel then Fresh Play is the band for you. The band is extremely professional, talented and friendly. They came dressed to impress in the theme for our evening reception, mingled with the attendees and really took the time to make everyone feel special. Most importantly they can SANNNNNG! The band brought all the vibes and kept the party going and even gave us one last song after the event was done as the crowd just wanted more! Don't hesitate to book Fresh Play. October 27, 2020My daughter wanted to have an 80's party for her birthday and Fresh Play said they could do this. Wow! Felicia and Perry really made the effort to make this party special! They did all the hits that we were hoping for and more. They were right on time, looked gorgeous, set up and played for us for longer than we requested. Their energy was so perfect to get us in the mood to dance and party! The music was so fun! They are great musicians and we loved the sound. The keyboards and singing and drums were so great! Also, they made such an effort to make my daughter feel special - singing happy birthday and "Cake by the Ocean" when we brought out the cake, which was so fun. They were very professional. When they took a break between sets they also played great music! So we got a DJ on top of the live band! I absolutely recommend this wonderful band for your party or event. You can't go wrong. I would certainly hire them again!

American Idol Meets X-Factor!!!! Perry was on American Idol, Season 10 and made it to the quarter finals...8 months later, he met Felicia on the X-Factor singing competition. They were both in pursuit of their individual dreams and are now living out their dreams together hence the name, Felicia + Perry = FRESH PLAY!!!
Fresh Play, a married singer/songwriter duo, based out of San Diego California released their first duo album entitled “Unveiled” nationwide February of 2014. Fresh Play pulls from various musical influences to create a unique, yet fresh sound. Their style, inspirational/ pop meets soul, a combination that is sure to inspire the heart, challenge the mind, and awaken the dreamer within.
Felicia Johnson, a native of California, has been an inspiration through song for quite some time. She has been singing, writing, competing and performing since she was a little girl. Often times, a notebook with a pad was all she had, but it was also all she needed to get through the rough times in her life and continue to be the best she could be. Her desire is to show the world that passion and love can help you overcome any obstacle in this world.
Perry O'Neal Johnson, multi-instrumentalist, loves, embraces, and lives music from his heart. His music career started in the church and has expanded to traveling across the nation, overseas in Europe, Costa Rica and even to American Idol (Season 10)! Through his travels, his passion as a professional musician has continued to blossom and flourish. He now infuses different styles and genres into his performances to create a distinct and unique sound that is all his own.
