Fonky Tonk
Overview
The piano and drum duo Fonky Tonk is a vehicle for Rob Stoney and I that gives us a chance to showoff his Virginia and my Louisiana roots. A little different than some of our favorite “strum and drum” duos we’re capable of a full overall sound and able to dive into a diverse selection for audiences.
A lot of bang for your buck.

About
Piano
Hailing from Hampton, VA, Rob began piano studies at age six under the masterful tutelage of his father, Dr William Stoney, also playing drums in the Peninsula Youth Orchestra by age 15.
After moving to Tampa he was a member of the Dallas Bull house band for a year before joining The Johnny G Lyons Band as well as Webbed Feet, two Tampa mainstays during the 80's and 90's.
Upon his 1996 arrival in Nashville, he secured a writer/publishing deal with Sony ATV Tree and was a touring member of The Warren Brothers for seven years penning the single She Wants To Rock, reaching # 28 on the Billboard chart.
Currently a member of The Greg Billings Band.
Drums
From his Louisiana cajun-based beginnings, Marc Dupuy has cultivated a diverse musical background. His simplistic, solid style and unique approach has supplied a driving foundation for many acts in the Tampa Bay area including The Greg Billings Band, SoupBone, The GoDaddies and Big Brother.
Since arriving in Florida twenty years ago, Marc has provided many studio drum tracks for local artists that run the gamut from pop rock to folk to punk to spiritual.
