Our performances come with high-quality sound, and we can either provide our own audio equipment or integrate with existing setups.
With a flexible lineup ranging from a three to six-piece band, we adjust to fit different event needs and budgets. We’re also open to special song requests, ensuring that every performance is uniquely suited to the occasion. FM Collective is a high-energy Latin fusion band based in Boston, blending hip-hop, funk, jazz, and global rhythms into a unique and engaging sound. Founded by Berklee College of Music alumni, the group brings together musicians from diverse backgrounds, including Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, and the United States. Their performances are dynamic and interactive, seamlessly switching between Spanish and English, delivering both original music and fresh takes on classic covers.
With a reputation for electrifying live shows, FM Collective has performed at major festivals, corporate events, and cultural celebrations across Massachusetts. Their ability to captivate audiences comes from a combination of technical excellence, infectious energy, and a deep connection to the music they play. FM Collective delivers a high-energy live performance that blends Latin, hip-hop, funk, and jazz, requiring a well-equipped stage setup to ensure the best experience for both the band and the audience. Below are our essential technical requirements:
Stage & Space Requirements:
-Minimum 10x10 ft stage area preferred for a full band setup
-Flat, stable, and covered stage for outdoor events (weather permitting)
Sound & Audio Requirements:
-PA System with subwoofers, suitable for venue size
-Front-of-house sound engineer (if available)
-Minimum 2 floor monitors (more depending on stage size)
Microphones:
-4-5 vocal microphones (Shure SM58 or similar)
-Instrument mics for percussion and optional brass instruments
-DI boxes for keyboards, bass, and acoustic guitar as needed
Power & Connectivity:
-Easily accessible power outlets for amplifiers and equipment
-XLR and 1/4” cables for instrument connections
-Lighting & Visuals (If Available):
-Basic stage lighting to ensure visibility
-Option for dynamic color lighting to enhance performance atmosphere
Additional Considerations:
If a backline is provided, we request:
-Drum kit (kick, snare, toms, cymbals, hi-hat, drum throne)
-Keyboard stand & sustain pedal
-Guitar and bass amplifiers (if not using DI)
-Load-in time: At least 90 minutes before showtime for setup and soundcheck
-Breaks: For performances exceeding 90 minutes, a 10-15 minute break is required
We’re flexible and adaptable to different venue setups, but having these elements in place ensures the best quality performance. Please reach out with any questions or adjustments needed for your event!

We perform original music that blends high-energy rhythms in both Spanish and English, along with well-known covers such as Billionaire by Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars, What You Won’t Do for Love by Bobby Caldwell, Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers, and Just the Two of Us by Grover Washington Jr., among others.
Influences and inspiration
Our sound is influenced by a diverse range of artists and genres. We draw inspiration from live hip-hop bands like The Roots, high-energy solo rap performers such as Eminem and Snoop Dogg, and jazz-infused groups like August Greene. We also incorporate the rhythmic and lyrical intensity of Latin acts like Calle 13 and Daddy Yankee, while blending elements of rock, R&B, and reggae to create a dynamic and engaging musical experience.
