Floetic Soul

If I am to perform at you event, I will arrive, with a pre-selected poem(s), prepared for your event. Although I have done poetry readings, 95% of my performances are pieces that are memorized. As a poet, I take responsibility to engage and entertain your audience. It is my personal goal to motivate, encourage and inspire the audience, no matter what kind of event I am performing at. Depending on the amount of time that I am given, I may expound on my pieces, as well as motivational speaking, if requested.

Floetic Soul is an Author and Poet, born and raised in the Valley of the Sun, also known as, Phoenix, Arizona. Floetic Soul has been writing songs, poetry and short stories since grade school, but it wasn’t until her sophomore year of high school, that she was introduced to the art of spoken word. She entered a poetry contest, in which she became a finalist. The finalist where to read their poem at an event. In preparation, she gathered with other finalists to practice and prepare for the event. That was the day that she experienced her first spoken word performance. A well-known poet by the name of Apollo Poetry performed a couple of poems that day. Her favorite one, was called the ABC poem. Immediately, she fell in love with the rhythm, speed and eccentricity of the poem. At some point during that day, she had an epiphany. This is what she wanted to do with her life. Write and perform spoken word. It was that simple. Since that day she has continued writing, performing, and studying her craft. Though she is far from perfect, she has been inspired to work hard to be the best that she can, doing what she loves.

Floetic Soul is willing to perform at various types of events including church events, weddings, youth conferences/camps, charity events, etc.

1) Who am I? My names is Kezia Arterberry, poetically known as, Floetic Soul and I am a Spoken word poet.

2) What do I do? I write and perform spoken word poetry on a variety of topics.

3) What is my goal? My goal is to motivate, encourage and inspire people of all ages.

4) What kind of poetry do I write and perform? Inspirational.

5) Who do I write and perform for? I am able and willing to write for audiences of all ages, on a variety of topics, for various occasions. However, my forte is in writing poetry for female, young adult and teenage audiences.
