Five Smooth Stones is a faith-based band from north-central Maryland. Blending diverse musical influences, such as Jars of Clay, Switchfoot, BNL, DMB and more, Five Smooth Stones strives to engage the audience, encouraging them to participate in the moment, then fostering a desire to participate in the kingdom, in service to one another. Five Smooth Stones' original music is an eclectic mix that speaks to the struggles and the joys of life, musically drawing from five decades of cross-genre influences. Their setlist often includes cover selections from their influential artists along with a full-range of original songs from their two full-length CD projects.

Writing and recording their own brand of rock music, built on a variety of eclectic influences from the past 40 years of music. Recent reviews of the bands new album, Beneath The Finite Sky, applaud the band’s originality and musical proficiency. With lyrics that capture their faith along with their personal experiences, the band speaks honestly about the ups and downs of searching for hope in an often seemingly hopeless world. Five Smooth Stones is based out of the Hereford Zone in Maryland.
Five Smooth Stones have been playing their engaging live show around the Mid-Atlantic area for the last five years, from intimate venues including coffee houses and churches to crowds into the thousands at festivals like Park Rock Fest in southern Maryland. Recent highlights include a summer tour through Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.
