Aside from posing for photos, I ask questions and tell jokes with the children and the parents. If asked I will do a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas", from a large picture book, and occasionally sing songs with the children. I am often joined by Mother Yule (Mrs. Claus) on my outings.

I usually ask for a large chair so a child can sit beside me or on my knee comfortably. If my wife is working with me, something for her to sit on as well.
