Professional and delightful

Our school hired Jamie to do face painting for a fundraising event and would definitely feel excited to hire her again in the future. Punctual, professional and talented…Jamie was a delight and got rave reviews from our families and community. Thank you Jamie!

Great experience!

She did a great job! She made the whole process very easy. I was particularly impressed with how well she handled a large number of excited kids. Will use again.

What to expect

From the moment you contact me, you will receive a prompt and professional response. I am happy to discuss exactly the type of party you are planing, and how you hope my participation will help enhance your guests experience. We will talk about concrete details such as the date and time, we can also talk about artistic options. Are you hoping to keep a theme for the make-up/face painting? Did you want a cheek for each person, or were you hoping for full faces? These are all things that will be discussed and set up for your event.

On the day of the event, I will show up on time, with all the supplies I need to paint/ make up your guests. You can expect me to be friendly and courteous to everyone. I do everything I can to make the experience fun for your guests. I want everyone I come in contact with to have a positive experience. I also do my best to accommodate the guests of the party within our agreed framework.

At the end of the event you can expect me to stay and be ready to work all the way to the end of the agreed time. I will clear my station in a timely manor and leave it as clean as when I found it.

About

I am a face painter and spfx make-up artist in the city of Chicago. I have been face painting for over 15 years, and have been a spfx make-up artist since 2009.

I specialize in large events such as block parties, parades, store promotions, and children's parties. I have worked the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade, Buena Park Neighborhood events, Chicago Hot Dog Fest, and Chicago's Gay Pride Parade.

I have a B.A. in Theater and Drama from Indiana University, where I studied costume and make-up design. I have done theater and special effects make-up for The DuPage Opera theater, Haunted Mansion/Asylum 13, Fear City Haunted House, and "Heaven is Hell" the movie.

I am professional, show up on time, and work great with children and adults alike. I use the highest quality products, and have many different price points available. I can even arrive as a character to fit the theme of your event.

Additional booking notes

I mainly use a hydra-color face paint. It dries quickly and will not smear unless wet. And as any self respecting facepainter I carry many different colors of glitter! I also have different costumes to fit the theme of your event.

I have my B.A. in Theater and Drama from Indiana University Bloomington. While there I studied costuming and theatrical make-up with advanced courses in costume and make-up design.

I have assisted the make-up crew for the DuPage Opera Theatre for over four years.

I have been apart of the make-up crew for Fear City for two years and a head make-up artist for Haunted Mansion Asylum 13.

I interned and was promoted to make-up assistant on the feature length zombie film "Heaven is Hell".
