Price range: $130 to $200 per hour

What to expect

For each event the client will indicate which type of service they would like to feature. Beth or one of her artists will arrive approximately 30-45 minutes in advance so they are set up and ready to begin on time. During events, we offer a colorful, fun menu of popular choices, but guests can also request other options. (For high volume or public events, we use a limited selection menu to keep the line moving quickly.)

When planning the amount of time you'll need a face painter, keep in mind that we can complete approximately 15 face paints per hour, depending on the designs guests choose. If your event will be high volume, please let us know in advance so we can prepare adequately.

We do not face paint, or airbrush children under the age of one years old. Also for safety reasons, I suggest that children between the ages of one and three be painted on the hands or arms rather than face, since children this age may move without warning while being painted. We do not use henna on children under the age of five. We do not provide balloons for children under the age of four, and all children with balloons (and pets) must be supervised when balloons are present, regardless of age.

Our supplies and equipment are thoroughly cleaned between events so each client can expect a hygienic experience for his or her guests. We follow a strict well-guest policy, which means guests who have symptoms of illness or any kind cannot be painted, airbrushed, glitter tattooed, or hennaed.

About

Beth has a B.A. in Art. She has worked as a graphic designer in the publishing industry, taught as a certified acrylic and drawing instructor, and has worked as a portrait artist. She's a freelance writer, artist, and videographer for (link hidden), she has worked as a consultant in developing the Kraze brand of professional face paint. She is an art teacher for elementary children and a maths teacher for middle school and high school students.

Additional booking notes

In order to provide a great face painting experience for your guests, you'll want to keep these things in mind.
1. For indoor events, please provide a well-lit area of about 6 x 6 feet. If you have a sturdy table set up in advance, it's helpful, but if you don't have one available, I'll provide my own.
2. I can paint approximately 15 designs per hour, so please take this into consideration while planning how long you'll need to keep guests from being disappointed if I run out of time. (For high volume events, I can provide 15-20 designs per hour from a simplified design choice board.)
3. For outdoor events, provide a flat, shaded area for face painting approximately. Grassy areas are fine as long as the the ground is firm and not muddy or soft.
4. If outdoors, please make sure you have an inside location of 6 x 6 available in case of bad weather.
5. For indoor parties, please provide a smoke-free area to prevent the paints and materials from absorbing the odor of smoke.

If outside, please provide a shaded, stable surface for me to set up on. Grass is okay as long as the ground is not soft or muddy. In case of inclement weather, you should have an area inside or under shelter where I can set up.

My table and chair work area will require a space of about 6 x 6 feet.

Adequate lighting so I can see to work. (I also carry equipment for emergency lighting with me.)
