Fabio Giacalone is one of the most promising young jazz artist in the scene today, after being awarded with the third prize from Montreux jazz Festival Vocal Jazz Competition in the summer of 2016 and after years of being active in the Boston club's scene, Fabio is finally ready to take over New York City and put its own finger print the jazz scene in the Big Apple.

As a jazz singer I can promise Artistry: every musician that I play with is an amazing instrumentalist to start with.
You will hear a lot of jazz Improvisation always kept on the classy side.
I like my music to be classy, soft and embracing every situation is played in.
My sound is mellow classy and with a lot of character and so it is the sound of the musicians that play with me.
You will never find me or my guys underdressed for the occasion, for us jazz is a serious business.
Music is not only listened but also seen.

The mix of cultures and experiences in his blood is both unique and remarkable.
Being born in Brazil and raised in Italy gave Fabio a unique sense of rhythm and musicality.
In 2012, Fabio moved to the United States to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts. While at Berklee, he had the chance to study and grow in a stimulating and refreshing environment that connected him to young musicians from all over the world. It also gave him the opportunity to work with remarkable teachers, such as Donna McElroy, Vadim Neselovskyi, Jeremy Ragsdale, Daniela Schaechter, Diane Richardson Victor Wooten John Clayton, Danny Morris and Danny Harrington.
In August of 2014, Whispering, his first demo reflecting his taste for jazz, was recorded in Boston. The tracks are featured Cosimo Boni on trumpet, Jaehun Kang on piano, Fabrizio Sciacca on bass, and Kazuhiro Odagiri on drums.
in may 2016 Fabio graduates from Berklee college of music with a bachelor degree in jazz vocal performance. with 3.89 GPA.
In July 2016 he participates in the world re-known and prestigious Shure Montreux jazz voice competition 2016 with famous singer Angelique Kidjo as president of a jury full of celebrated personalities of the music industry and famous jazz musicians.

Influences and inspiration
I sing mainstream Jazz so my influences go from the classics Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Mel Tormé to the modern: Gretchen Parlato, Gregory Porter and Kurt Elling.
