What to expect

When you book me, you can expect clear communication, punctual arrival, and a fully prepared performance tailored to your event.
I arrive in complete, high-quality costume with appropriate props and, when requested, live ukulele accompaniment. I remain in character during appearances unless event logistics require otherwise.
Before your event, I confirm scheduling details, audience age range, venue type, and tone so the performance aligns with your expectations. I adapt easily to indoor and outdoor venues and work comfortably with photographers, coordinators, and venue staff.
For weddings and ceremonies, I collaborate with couples in advance to craft a ceremony that reflects their values and desired atmosphere.
My goal is to make your planning process easier while delivering an experience your guests will remember.

About

I am a professional character performer, storyteller, musician, and ordained minister based in southern New Hampshire. With a background in writing, public speaking, and immersive performance, I create fully realized characters who engage audiences of all ages with intelligence, warmth, and presence.
I perform at weddings, private events, festivals, literary programs, and children’s celebrations. Whether appearing as the regal Maleficent, the darkly witty Countess Dracula, the gracious Mrs. Claus, or the mischievous Easter Bunny, I approach each role as a complete persona rather than simply a costume. Voice, movement, language, and audience interaction are shaped to suit both the character and the event.
I am also a professional storyteller and ukulele musician. My programs draw from folklore, seasonal traditions, history, and original material, delivered with strong pacing and audience awareness. I move comfortably between theatrical and intimate settings.
I incorporate live ukulele music into holiday programs, themed events, and private gatherings. My musical style ranges from lighthearted to atmospheric, depending on the character and occasion. Live music adds flexibility and energy to an event.
I am ordained through the Universal Life Church and the Church of the Gnome. I officiate weddings and commitment ceremonies that are inclusive and reflective of each couple’s values. I perform same-sex weddings, polyamorous commitment ceremonies, and heterosexual marriages with equal professionalism and respect. Ceremonies may be traditional, secular, whimsical, or fully themed.
As a published author, I bring a strong understanding of narrative structure, character development, and emotional pacing to my performances. My goal is to create experiences that feel intentional and thoughtfully crafted.
I work comfortably in private homes, corporate venues, outdoor festivals, libraries, schools, wedding venues, holiday markets, and community events. Each appearance is tailored to the audience and occasion. For children, I balance warmth with gentle authority. For adults, I incorporate wit and subtle humor. For weddings, I prioritize clarity and authenticity.
I aim not simply to appear at events, but to elevate them. Clients book me for reliability, clear communication, thoughtful character work, and memorable interactions their guests will talk about long after the event ends.

Additional booking notes

Space requirements vary by character and activity. For most appearances, I require a small staging area or comfortable space to interact with guests. For storytelling or musical performances, a chair and minimal clear space are helpful.
If amplification is needed for larger venues or outdoor events, please confirm in advance. I can discuss sound setup options based on audience size and location.
Adequate lighting is important for photography and overall presentation. Soft, angled lighting is preferable to direct overhead lighting to avoid harsh shadows.
For outdoor events, weather contingency plans are recommended. Extreme heat, cold, or heavy precipitation may affect costuming and instruments.
Access to a private area for brief preparation or costume adjustments is appreciated when available.
Please confirm parking, load-in access, and event timeline details prior to the event.

Influences and inspiration

My work is influenced by folklore, classic literature, seasonal traditions, and theatrical storytelling. Gothic fiction, fairy tales, and historic holiday customs inform my darker and seasonal characters, while traditional oral storytelling techniques shape my pacing and audience engagement.
As a published author, I draw heavily from narrative structure and character development, ensuring each portrayal feels intentional and internally consistent rather than surface-level.
I am also influenced by the broader community of professional holiday and themed performers who prioritize costuming quality, authenticity, and meaningful guest interaction.
For officiant services, my approach is shaped by a strong commitment to inclusivity, human dignity, and ceremonies that reflect the lived values of the couple rather than rigid convention.
