Evelyn Nguyen - Harpist

When you book me for an event, you can expect respect and understanding first and foremost. I will dress appropriately for the event either in accordance with the dress code or by wearing all black (if no dress code is specified).

I bring my own music stand, harp, music, light (for darker settings), and chair (unless you would like me to use a different one).

At this point in time, I do not have my own mic and amplification equipment. Whether those things are necessary depends on the size of the venue. Speakers are strongly recommended for outdoor events!

I will arrive thirty minutes early to set up and tune properly before the event. I can arrive as early as you need me to.

I can arrange music per request ($8 per request). For music not on my list, please give me 3 month's notice of the song selection for the best results.

My name is Evelyn Nguyen, I have studied harp for 7 years and I love it! I am used to arranging on a case-by-case basis. I am classically trained and have studied harp with Katie Kulp, Grace Bauson, and Zoe Coppola.

I started with a piano background when I was 6 years old and began studying harp in June 2019.

I have played in several chamber groups and trios as well as orchestras and have accompanied solo performances.

I play a Dusty Strings Ravenna-34 Lever harp. This can impact song selection, but I am very good at arranging music to fit my harp's capabilities.

I can play anywhere there is flat, even ground. I need a 6 x 9 ft for the performance area. For outdoor performances, please ensure that I will not be playing on grass as my harp will get stuck in the dirt. I will bring my music stand.

I don't always need sound equipment, it truly depends on the size of the venue and the acoustics.

I am quite flexible. If you are looking for a performance on a day when my calendar says unavailable, please message me. My calendar depicts general availability.
