August 10, 2020Erin did an excellent job playing for my wedding on August 7. She understood and executed my every request, even learning a sentimental original composition by ear. Even though she was unable to practice during the rehearsal since the correct cord wasn’t in house until the following day, the wedding music went swimmingly, which as a musician myself was extremely important to the overall day. Erin Doyle is a multi-instrumentalist with a love of music and performing. Miss Doyle grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music Degree in flute performance and a minor in arts management. She studied flute with Jean Larson Garver, former principal flute of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. She also studied piano with Alfred Mouledous and saxophone, clarinet, and jazz flute with Donald Fabian.
Miss Doyle teaches flute lessons, piano lessons and clarinet lessons. She directs music and plays piano for SMU Catholic Masses, and also plays piano for St. Monica Catholic Church. Miss Doyle is currently a piano accompanist for the Junior League of Dallas and other choirs. She also plays keyboard and woodwinds with local bands. She is comfortable playing a wide variety of genres and is skilled at sight reading and improvising.
Miss Doyle has performed with her colleagues at the Kauffman Center in Kansas City, the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, the Dallas House of Blues, and Carnegie Hall in New York. In her free time Miss Doyle enjoys playing saxophone on street corners and making covers of songs by Ben Folds and Queen.
