Overview
Originally from the Delaware Valley, Eric Rizzo is a freelance musician and teacher based in New England. He holds degrees from New England Conservatory and Yale School of Music, and is currently in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at UConn. He has performed with the Hartford Symphony, Phoenix: The Orchestra Reborn, and the Boston Festival Orchestra, as well as at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and Lake George Music Festival. Eric is the first recipient in the music department of the Harriott Fellowship at the UConn Graduate School.

June 30, 2022A Classical Quartet that can work outside the box!
I hired Eric Rizzo as the trumpeter for my daughter's wedding and asked him to add a few pieces so we could have a classical backdrop for arrival of the guests and during the cocktail hour. Eric added a keyboard, cello and violin. Their background music was perfect. But there was a twist! I also asked them to be able to play Somewhere Over the Rainbow and as a recessional, the Drake song Hold On We're Going home! They were accommodate both requests and the brides were thrilled to have one of their favorite songs played with a classical twist. Don't think twice, Eric is great.

Eric is a classically trained musician. Originally from the Philadelphia area, he earned a Bachelors degree at New England Conservatory in Boston, MA, a Masters degree from Yale School of Music, and is currently working towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at UConn.
Eric has performed with the Hartford Symphony, Phoenix: The Orchestra Reborn, the Boston Festival Orchestra, at the Lake George Music Festival and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival.
