What to expect

From the first contact by telephone or text, We will work with you to develop a program and playlist that meets your specific needs. While group dance classes are typically 30 to 45 minutes long and taught at the beginner level, both length and level can be adjusted to meet the needs of the group. David will provide speakers, microphone, and cables that will work for either indoor or outdoor events. He will arrive early to make sure all systems are working properly and will remove all equipment at the end of the event.

About

David Endicott has been teaching and competing in ballroom dance for over 35 years and in West Coast Swing for 5 years. He has trained with many championship-level professionals in both styles of dance. Earlier in his career, he won or placed highly in numerous ballroom dance competitions throughout the United States and Europe. While working in New York, he developed choreography for nationally televised commercials and taught ballroom dance to 5th graders as part of the Dancing Classrooms program highlighted in the movie, Mad Hot Ballroom. Now located in East Providence, RI, David teaches private and group lessons to students of all ages and ability levels and develops choreography for wedding couples and quinceaneras. He and his students currently compete in ballroom and West Coast Swing competitions throughout the eastern United States.

Additional booking notes

For indoor events, we will need access to standard electrical outlets to power speakers and the computer. We can use batteries to power the equipment at outdoor events provided there is adequate notice.
Any hard surface, including carpet, is suitable for beginner lessons. A wood or Marley dance floor is recommended for more advanced dancers.
