Emily Day is a jazz vocalist, arranger, and songwriter who has performing professionally since the age of 16. For the past decade she has been the band leader of the popular San Francisco swing band, Cosmo Alleycats. She curates the music and vibe for private events of any size and organizes all of the planning and logistics with ease and professionalism.

Versatility, range and nuance describe Emily's voice. She can command a large room's attention, or remain a tasteful backdrop to a dinner party. Emily is a trained and experienced professional musician. She can read music, communicate musically with other musicians, and act as bandleader in diverse musical settings, including work in a recording studio. Emily is gracious, kind, charming and always early (unforeseen-traffic-situation-permitting). She can provide her own sound equipment for public or private performance for any size band, and has a roster of world-class musicians to call upon for any size/configuration of ensemble - Pianist, guitarist, drummer, up-right bassist, saxophonist, trombonist, trumpet player, and even an entire Big Band.
Required room for staging = 5'-5' up to 10'-10' near an electrical outlet, preferably sheltered from weather. No lighting provided aside from individual music stand lights. Recorded music during set breaks.
