Elias Schwartzman is an Washington DC-based freelance violinist, violist and mandolinist with years of performing experience. With a repertoire both broad and deep ranging from Baroque to Celtic to bluegrass to pop, he has a style to match any occasion. A musician since 5 years of age, he has studied with prominent violinists coast to coast and graduated from Oberlin College. A native Washingtonian, he performs solo as well as in collaboration with various local artists ranging from duo to full symphonic orchestra and across many genres.

September 27, 2026Our violinist did such an amazing job at our wedding! He was incredibly kind, professional, and so easy to work with from beginning to end. He arrived with plenty of time to set everything up and made sure he was completely prepared before the ceremony began.
He even took the time to learn new songs that we specifically requested, which meant so much to us and made our ceremony feel even more personal and special. The music was absolutely beautiful, and he played everything perfectly.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We are so grateful that he was part of such an important day in our lives and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented, reliable, and professional violinist for their special day!

September 15, 2026We had our civil wedding at the D.C. War Memorial, and having Elias play made an already beautiful setting feel even more special. He was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, responsive, and very accommodating of our different requests.
Our guests were so impressed and kept telling us how the violin made the whole ceremony feel dreamy. We’re incredibly grateful to Elias for being part of such an important day and couldn’t recommend him more highly!

July 22, 2026I would leave more stars if I could. I cannot recommend Elias enough. He was truly exceptional. Incredibly talented and very easy to work with. I booked Elias to play while I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiancée) and he was incredible. He learned the song I requested and played it flawlessly. He helped with setting up for the proposal and I can't thank him enough, everything was perfect. He created such a beautiful moment and my fiancée and I will remember it forever.

Having Elias play during our wedding ceremony was truly one of the best decisions we made throughout the planning process. From learning our requested songs to creating the perfect atmosphere on the day itself, everything was absolutely beautiful.
The music added so much to the ceremony and made some of the most meaningful moments of our day feel even more special. So many of our guests commented on how talented he was and how much they loved the live music.
